Harry's Bar — Restaurant in England

Nice place, unfortunately the owner deserves to fail for his appauling attitude and customer service. Went in with my wife twice. The first time asked for a taste of a keg, was told "we don't do tasters of keg, only cask". I have never encountered this anywhere and laughed as I thought he was joking (he was the other side of the bar drinking at the time). Apparently he wasn't! Feeling sorry for the barmaid I ordered us a half each and stayed. Went in again another day, got a taste of cask, ordered a half of that and half Aspalls for my wife, was told sternly "you ask for a taste then order a half? You're taking the p*ss, you'll have a pint". I reacted rather strongly but politely, was told not to come back. We won't be, trust me. I feel sorry...

Tremendous bar -went in on bank holiday weekend -exactly what you want Friendly staff -warm fire -people talking “ across tables “ locals -to tourists and vice versa -and the best “ play list “ I’ve heard in a pub for a long time -“ Salisbury Hill -Peter Gabriel “ being my favourite Even a cosy warm fire -well it’s Easter in Northumberland! Spot on this place I even noticed a big what looked like rugby group of lads or farmers who on leaving the bar the ( presumed owner ?) said thank you to each and every one as they left Very good appreciation of customers spending money at this place...

Went into this bar with my partner while on holiday. Rugby was on & we always have a wee banter between each other regarding who is playing. Nothing was said but a gesture to my partner with a smile when entering the establishment. I then got informed to behave or I’d get kicked out.
