Hen House — Restaurant in England

Appalling service from hen house, order a mighty box and a feast box at 20:00. Then at 20:55 I get a call from the driver to say he's outside, but nowhere to be seen (turns out he's gone to the wrong address in Flamborough amd we live in Bridlington). I phoned to shop back up to say that I wont be happy if the food is cold because its done a half hour round trip in car) When it arrived we received a completely different order which was soggy and cold. So I called back and they said they will send a new one out. I then asked for a refund and to forget it. 5 minutes later the driver turned up at our door at 21:15 with our original order. And guess what, It was soggy and cold. So I called back up to ask for a refund but they said to get a refund they needed the food returning. SERIOUSLY!! We decided to keep the food and just heat it up. I then asked if there was any discount to be knocked off the food bill but they said we can have a discount the next time we order.

Absolute joke! We wouldn't stand for that quality and service in a restaurant so why should we stand for it for a takeaway.

I bought the chicken burger with chips and my god was i surprised the burger was so juicy i had to look to make sure it wasn't pink in the inside because of how juicy it was but there was no pink at all so they cooked it to perfection and for once an actual kebab place actually sessioned the chicken it self which bringed out the flavour more the bun it self was so fluffy jt was an actual burger bun the ones you get in a restaurant. Now the chips did surprise me because the put red salt on them however the chips was soggy and the added salt without me knowing made the hole meal a bit salty however i would still come back again i would recommend this to anyone and i recommend you hen house to warn customers it can be salty or ask them do they want to add the salt on themselves beside from that i would give them a 4.5 out of 5 but Google wouldn't let me do that...

Just had chicken pieces.. Taste better than the Famouse one we all know ! .. nuggets all ok apart from chips a bit soggy and nearly hour delivery due to vehical breakdown but all good in end. wont go anywhere else .. getting a bit expensive but well worth it if you deserve a treat .. very yummy ..Update had a few meals from here since last review.. and wow very hot crispy chips with spice and chicken pieces are great .. mouth waters soon as i think about this place .. well done hen house .. keep up the good work . Best...
