Good Souls — Restaurant in England

Rather disappointing weekend visit to Bridlington. Yes, it's off-season, but so many restaurants and coffee shops either closed, fully booked, or open for as little as two hours! Most closed by 2-3pm. Thank goodness for Good Souls - not only open (hurrah!), but head and shoulders above the competition.

The bright, modern interior is spotlessly clean and the professional appearance is matched by the friendliness of the welcome and the resulting service.

The menu is a concise (which is fortunate because I pretty much wanted everything on it), imaginative selection and across two visits I loved the Chorizo Mac n Cheese, Bubble and Squeak, and Yorkshire Pudding Wrap. Simply delicious. The coffee was terrific too.

Can't rate this place highly enough. Good luck to the young owner - he's really cracked it here and deserves...

This is an absolute gem of a place. A family run business that truly has the customer at heart. We visited for breakfast, which was good. Then we saw a poster for a Tapas pop up evening and booked that for that night. It was fantastic! Complimentary Sangria to start the nicest I've ever tasted, would have happily had a jug of that. Two starters bruschetta and chorizo croquettes, then 5 main plates; tasty, moist meatballs, deepfried cauliflower with romane sauce, potatas bravas with alioli sauce, chicken kebabs and prawn pintos (would have liked a couple more prawns 😋) and a lovely bottle of Rosè Pino. Came to Good Souls for the first time today after family recommended it and we were extremely happy we did. Food was exceptional. The vegetarian breakfast was very creative and not just your usual vegetarian sausages you would usually get with a vegetarian breakfast. The addition of Halloumi and crispy kale was delicious, it was a very well thought out plate of food. The homemade beans were super flavourful and the hash browns were great. My partner loved his Good Souls full English breakfast.
