Hidden Monkey — Restaurant in England

Certainly, a cafe that should not be hidden!

After being nicely recommended The Hidden Monkey by another local cafe who didn't allow dogs inside, it was great to find that the food and coffee was well worth a little extra walk.

Five of us ate, and we all thought it was some of the best cafe food we'd had for a long time.

Everything was fresh, well made and presented, and the coffees were also notable enough for me to comment how good my mocha was.

As visitors to the area during a holiday, we won't be back in the foreseeable, however if we were in the area again we'd certainly look them up and hope any readers of this also do so and have a similar...

Quite expensive. Breakfast was disappointing because I expected at least 2 eggs. More mushrooms. I know it said one egg. But price is equivalent to a main meal. My sausages were overcooked. Personally I would suggest that tea / coffee is included in the price of breakfast. I noticed one person got a top up coffee. No one asked us for a top up. Five stars does not adequately describe this wonderful eatery.There are many tables downstairs but far more up.All in quaint rooms that provide a wonderful ambience. It's very dog friendly and you would not know they are there.The toilets are spotlessly clean even though they get lot's of visitors.
