We called to book a table on Sunday for the Thali. We were told to come in at 8pm. We waited 45 mins for our food, we were then told the kitchen closes at 9pm. We did not have time to refill our dishes. We felt that that we had been cheated out of the all you can eat deal. There did not seem to be a valid reason for the delay in food coming out as there were plenty of staff waiting tables serving drinks. The food was nice just a shame there wasn’t much of it. A talhi is a mixture of 5 very small dishes in little bowls. We were spoken to rather rudely when we mentioned our concerns regarding the slow service. There was 6 of us eating and we spent a good few quid! We left hungry 🤨
We decided to try a delivery and the same thing happened we received very stingy portions. Although nice food it is not good value. We called to advise that the King Prawn curry only had 4 king prawns in it, we were told yes that’s right we don’t use shrimp we put 4 bigger prawns in. At £14 for a curry dish with 4 king prawns, we won’t be returning our...
Read moreNOT A RESTAURANT FOR A RELAXING MEAL. Booked reservation and felt very rushed. We had a time slot of 1hour 45mins. The restaurant was full so strangers had to share a table. Throughout the meal the staff kept coming over to our table to check on us, multiple times. (Rushing us) This was supposed to be a relaxing birthday meal with my brother, to eat, drink and catch up. We didn’t get starters, the mains were EXTREMELY spicy. The korma and sang paneer are very mild dishes, but served with extreme amounts of spice here. We asked for dessert and were told no. The whole experience was rushed and too spicy. I do have an experience with their takeaway before I dined in. The food was still very spicy (I thought it was a one off), and they didn’t bother to deliver it. I went to collect. The member of staff said he tried our doorbell, I told him it works, then he said I didn’t answer my phone, and I told him it didn’t ring. Such a shame a local restaurant turned out to be a flop, I won’t be going back or...
Read moreWent for the all you can eat thali buffet. Tiny set menu, obviously tiny little bowls, (held 2 little pieces of chicken) however, was only asked once if we would like anything else, which we had a few dishes, thats it! No more asking for refill on the miniature bowls. Came over 15 mins later to clear the plates. What a waste of money and left hungry. Food was not great, sagg paneer was like baby food! Asked for it dry came out like mush. Glass of coke £4.25 and was flat. Sadly never again, wanted a new local for take away but will go elsewhere.
Following up from your reply! You were eating dinner yourself. Only came over 1 for refil of few dishes. Was not 8 samosa! And you said you would replace samosas instead of meat dish. We have eaten before at your Maldon branch and it was excellent. Just very disappointed with the Sunday NOT UNLIMITED THALI BUFFET. you asked to refill once! Then nothing only to collect plates.
