Food We ordered coconut rice and fried curry fish and prawn pad king . The coconut rice was a good quantity but it's not as good as other Thai restaurants in this area. The pad king was majority onions with just a few fragments of bell pepper, no more than 2 sliced mushrooms and importantly not more than a few strands of soggy ginger. The fried fish was a good size, well cooked and tasty. Service The waitress didn't speak much English. I asked: does the fish take longer to cook and she replied the fish is very fresh? As for drinks I asked for a water and got a bottle of water? Only shady restaurants do this, decent restaurants needn't upsell you on tap water. The bill included a mandatory service charge which I strongly dislike it's very rude and isn't stated on the menu. Atmosphere As we entered we were greeted by the noise of a young children playing on her tablet, eating pizza. It turns out this child is connected to one of those working there. She remained playing noisily in the background throughout which isn't what I expected for my Friday night...
Read moreFantastic and genuine Thai restaurant. The staff are really friendly (which is a genuine Thai trait) and everything is freshly made to order. The food was amazing and just like eating in Thailand, and the Mango & Sticky Rice was perfect and took me straight back to eating it in Thailand. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and now we've found it, this certainly won't be our only visit. If you are looking for genuine Thai food, rather than something from a chain or what other restaurants version's of Thai food is, please try here, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. We came on a Tuesday for our wedding anniversary on the recommendation of a Thai friend; and so glad we did. Everything was perfect. I can't recommend the food, chef and staff highly enough. This is one of the few places that has ever exceeded my...
Read moreA small, authentic, very friendly restaurant, with amazing flavours throughout the meal.
We arrived after a last minute booking, late on a Sunday evening, for two. The restaurant was fairly busy with customers and only one member of staff in the restaurant. She did an amazing job keeping everything moving at a nice pace.
We had a chicken starter each and was blown away by the flavours and presentation of each.
Main was a delightful beef penang and a gorgeous chicken green curry with sticky rice. Both were absolutely incredible with the right amount of spice. A good balance of vegetable/meat within both dishes.
The drinks menu had a good selection, from soft drinks, wines and beers. We drank lovely cold tiger beers...
