Jemima's Kitchen at Victoria House — Restaurant in England

Don’t usually rate places low but had a bad experience here yesterday. Brought my inlaws here because it was highly rated. Staff were not noticing us and forgetting we were there. Had to go up to the till for them to remind them that we were there and still didn’t come. When someone did get our order another server came by and said “oh sorry didn’t see you there” and attempted then to get out order. Funny he said that after multiple staff passed our way already, one having her break two tables away from us! Popped by only for drinks but waited 40 minutes to get coffee. There were 4 occupied tables in the whole cafe and more than 4 servers chatting around the bar. Can’t say it was short staffed for the poor service. Definitely not...

I can't sing this place's praises enough: we arrived with lots of requests and the lovely manager was kind, friendly and accommodating. We really pushed our luck but the smile never left her face. All our meals were cooked to perfection - my mum loved her Aussie pineapple, banana, cheese and ham on toast! This is no ordinary place - it is a gem in Church Stretton. We ordered full English breakfasts, French toast and pancakes with a variety of hot (hot chocolate and different teas) and cold drinks. Everything was absolutely perfect, it was lovely.

This place was so good we went back again on our way home a few days later. Again we had breakfasts and pancakes and again everything was perfect. It's a little more expensive than the norm, but for the little extra you pay you're getting superior quality ingredients cooked...
