It is with an absolute regret to give Korean Grill only a star but tonight was supposed to be a lovely dinner partly for my birthday and eating dinner with my two nieces before Summer holiday finishes, there were too many faults, negativities and need such huge improvements.

We given the waitress our order at 6:10pm, around 6:45pm waitress told us to put the grill on as the food is arriving in 5 minutes but food didn’t arrive until 7pm. Unfortunately it was a very long wait & we were starving !!! Not sure why it took 50 minutes for raw marinated dishes to come out and side dishes.

We noticed there were only 3 ssamjang dishes, instead 5 (as there were 5 of us eating). We got the waitress attention & she replied you only get 3 ssamjang dishes as you ordered 3 plates of meat ( We were very very confused as we came only couple months & 4 of us had ssamjang dish each) as well from many of our previous visits (As there were 5 of us, we had to share the 3 small ssamjang dishes which meant we asked for top up couple times)

We had a mix up of the quantities of stew (for some odd reason there were 4 stews ordered instead the usual 1 we always order, we even looked at the order form & even noticed the way 4 was not how my sister writes it) but anyway we had no choice but to accept the order and we told the waitress if it’s ok to have it bagged up & takeaway, Unfortunately the waitress won’t leave it in the kitchen knowing the table had no room whatsoever at all and insisted it has to be left on our table which was rather frustrating as it was crammed as it is and made sense to leave it in the kitchen

By 7:45pm, the waitress asked us if we finished eating (in which we said we are still eating) & there were just a small plate of cooked meat leftover which my sister & I were going to tucked into. She then said it’s almost 8pm you got to eat up and pay the bill (WOW WOW)!!! She took my plate & chopstick so I didn’t get the chance to eat the remaining at all.

When it came to paying the bill, my sister gave a good constructive feedback & told the waitress that the food arrived 50 minutes after ordering. We had so much food and were still eating but you only gave us 45 minutes to eat our food and rushing us to pay knowing we were still eating. She apologised but I don’t think she really understood it (I/we are aware the grill is only 2 hours slot, but with the food arriving 50 minutes later & had only 45 minutes to eat before told to pay & leave is unacceptable, unfair and pretty shocking especially there were several tables available at that point)

They bagged the 3 stew in 1 bag. I decided to take 1 stew out of the 3, so my sister went up to ask for a bag from the waitress & she said sorry we don’t have any bags left. So my sister then went to the other waitress asked for a bag in which she grabbed one for my sister ( and there were plenty of bags therefore not sure why she lied)???

We been to Korean Grill numerous times thoroughout the years, always enjoyed the delicious and tasty food but it is with regret that we won’t come back ever again after tonight visit.

Service is absolutely shocking, no common sense whatsoever. Staffs just need to be retrained with better customer service, using their initiative. The restaurant is very very filthy, needs a good dusting, deep clean on skirting boards and as well the toilets. Such a shame as we always loved the food here but the service and restaurant itself is such a...

I had the pleasure of dining at Korean Grill in Bournemouth with a group of friends yesterday, and I must say it was an exceptional experience in every aspect. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that perfectly complemented the exciting promise of an authentic Korean dining experience. The stylish yet cozy interior, combined with the mouthwatering aroma coming from the kitchen, set the tone for what would be a memorable evening.

What truly stood out to me, however, was the exceptional level of service we received throughout the meal. The entire staff demonstrated a remarkable commitment to ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of at all times. Our waitress, Michelle, in particular, deserves special recognition for her dedication and professionalism. She went above and beyond, attentively checking on us throughout the meal and offering thoughtful suggestions from the menu that perfectly suited our tastes. Her friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm made us feel welcomed and valued, adding a personal touch to an already wonderful experience.

As for the food, Korean Grill truly excels in offering an authentic taste of Korean cuisine. Every dish we ordered was carefully prepared, bursting with flavors that balanced traditional Korean ingredients with modern culinary techniques. From the sizzling BBQ platters to the rich, savory stews and refreshing side dishes, each item on the menu was a celebration of the diverse and bold flavors Korean cuisine is known for. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, making it clear that the restaurant places a high emphasis on freshness and authenticity.

Not only did the food and service impress us, but the attention to detail throughout the entire experience also made a significant impact. The restaurant’s team worked seamlessly to ensure that our evening was nothing short of perfect, whether it was refilling our drinks without being intrusive or adjusting the pace of the meal to suit our conversations. It is rare to find such a harmonious blend of culinary excellence and attentive service.

Korean Grill is much more than just a place to enjoy great food – it is a destination for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you are familiar with Korean cuisine or trying it for the first time, the combination of exceptional service, particularly from Michelle, and high-quality dishes makes this restaurant stand out in Bournemouth’s vibrant culinary scene. I highly recommend Korean Grill to anyone looking for an enriching and satisfying dining experience, and I will certainly be returning...

Great food spoiled by a terrible front of house.

Arrived 8pm 23/07/22 for a booking with a grill table, after waiting shortly, greeted by the man working the FOH who gestured that a grill table taken by a twosome were eating slow and asked us to come back "in 15 minutes". There were two grill tables free & another possibly close to finishing but were told they were going to be used for another party who wasn't present, so we obliged with waiting. We came back at 8:20pm to find the table we were "assigned" had still not finished, one identical grill table had new customers & another identical grill table was just being cleaned - we were not allowed to use any of the other tables, we had to wait for the "slow couple" to finish & they proceeded to try and turn that very specific table.

Eventually we were seated 50 minutes later than originally booked without any way of apology, other than an explanation of "slow diners all day" that had caused a knock-on effect of lateness. The man at the front of house had no explanation when I noted two other bookings had been immediately sat down at the same time as us. We were left to conclude if there were delays due to poor scheduling, we were the targets of all the delays.

The first food to be grilled had one set of beef that had a vast amount of fat on the cut which we asked to be replaced. To their credit it was replaced, but came back with the chap on the FOH who proclaimed that he "wouldn't normally do this, but you waited long time so I do you a favour". To wait almost an hour before being told we were being done a favour for querying a bad cut was quite the cheek.

To the restaurant's credit - from there the food was excellent from there on, including the fried chicken. However with no real apology, no attempt to offer any sort of comp to the bill and the lies told by the front of house, this place becomes the nicest food that I will never, ever recommend to anyone in...

Was here solo on a Sunday evening. It's not a big place and was very busy, but the front-of-house lady still kindly offered me a table with 10 minutes wait. The place was well decorated with certificates on clear display, indicating it's been around for at least 12 years. Their website claims that their food do not contain MSG. I am not local to the area but the place seems to be a people's favourite. Though there were a little assistance from the kitchen staff, the lady was essentially serving all 9 tables on her own. Still she kept her confidence and continued to engage patrons with warmth and smiles. I really liked how attentive she was despite being so busy, showing me how the menu worked. I only wish I wasn't so stubborn to realise you can just write the drinks onto the order form. It's also been years (sadly) since the last time I saw someone clean a table properly. Food was well worth trying. I had Clear Noodle with Vegetables (N6). There was a mild wait on food, but I do think meat eating friends would have a great time here. Remember to book your table. At the end, the lady even tried talking me out of leaving tips, because she felt the service delivered wasn't to her standard. Either she was being genuine and sincere or reads her customers well, both of which are qualities I see positively. Her work ethic was really impressive. I noticed some customers had special drinks that weren't on the menu. Looked into it afterwards and I think they came from 2 doors down at the bubble tea place. No idea how the arrangement works. Ask. No flying insects, which was a pleasant surprise.
