I was over the moon to see Le Munch on Just Eat's menu, as I'd been feeling too poorly to pop up the shops for some bread and fruit to make me feel better and didn't fancy a 'dirty' takeaway. Having made the 'ill Macdonalds' mistake in the past I opted for something cleaner and fresher, and have enjoyed sandwiches from Le Munch for years.
I was craving a bacon sarnie which came on lovely thick white bread with a floury crust. I don't eat white bread and unfortunately there was no option to choose brown bread (that I could see) but the bread was quite nice so it wasn't an issue once I'd tried it. The bacon was crispy and flavoursome, so overall it was a very nice sandwich. The only recommendation I would say would have been for sauce and extras to be available in the options menu for the sarnie - a lot of the other items have a great options list but I had to write in the comments box to request tomato sauce and onion and unfortunately it came with raw red onion rather than cooked. It wasnt too big a deal as they were easy to pick out.
The jacket potato was nice, I'd opted for cheese and beans and it came with a little salad on the side, with the option to pay a small premium to add things such as coleslaw. I usually oven bake my potatoes until they're very crispy so this was quite undercooked for my personal taste but it was a good sized potato with lots of cheese.
The thing I was disappointed in was the 'fruit platter'. I saw the menu description and was excited that for £2.50 I could have a selection of sliced seasonal fruits, but when this arrived it was one sliced red apple, already browning, and a few red grapes. It's a shame as it felt like they'd not ordered anything in for the platters and just threw something together. I didn't eat the brown apple so I paid £2.50 for a handgun of grapes, which I had in the fridge anyway.
The delivery driver was very polite and friendly and my food arrived on time.

Read moreI kept hearing recommendations for this place, so I was so disappointed with the experience.
I’ll start with the positive, the drinks were fantastic, although a little pricey.
The staff were very friendly with ordering and serving the food, although there must have been a shift change as the staff were not to be seen again after the food was served.
The food looked good on the presentation, the poached eggs and salmon were okay, the salmon was a decent portion. French toast was ruined by the bacon, which was so crispy you couldn’t cut it and was far too salty. Which left myself and my guests thirsty for the rest of the day. The breakfast had the same issue with the bacon. The Sausages were beautifully caramelised and a decent size but tasted simply disgusting, with what seemed to be more herbs than there was meat, I would have preferred a cheap Richmond banger. The Ham and cheese toastie is actually a cheese sauce rather than a slice of real cheese, that tasted fine to me, but unfortunately it meant my son wouldn’t eat it. The food itself was not the absolute worst I have ever had, but in relation to the price it was terrible value.
To finish off the trip I popped to the toilet where I was instantly glad I could go standing up, as the toilet seat wasn’t on the toilet, but propped up against the wall in a nearby corner.
The whole thing was certainly an experience to remember, but sadly not for the...
Read moreOrdered through deliveroo, said it would arrive by 9.55 but didn't arrive until 10.15 so my friends who'd already waited for an hour couldn't wait any longer and had to leave. Tried cancelling the order but the driver turned up anyway, I explained our friends had left and we didn't eat meat so the food was no good to us and the driver was very rude, told me I wouldn't get a refund and dumped the food by our front door. Absolutely no apology for the amount of time we had to wait. I understand the food had been cooked but why say you're going to deliver by a certain time, then tell us you were short of drivers and not inform us how long we were likely to have to wait? My friends literally rearranged plans as we had to wait an hour for it then it still hadn't arrived and they had no choice but to leave without the food. Maybe a simple phone call to explain it's going to be late and giving your customers the option of cancelling before you cook the food would be prudent. You really shouldn't be operating...
