Old little gem in Boscombe. Atmosphere is traditional but sorta run down but the food there is pretty top notch. Octopus salad was great, super fresh, probably the most tender octopus I've had in a restaurant. For mains I had the mixed skewer and it came with some rice/ potatoes/ chips. The skewer was great, steak cooked rare to medium-rare, prawns had a lovely char, vegetables were juicy and the sliced sausage a really nice flavour. Portion sized are large for a regular person - even the octopus salad which is 6.50 AND a starter could definitely be eaten as a main. Only thing which I had minor issues with were the sides to the mains. Potatoes were lovely, fries were on the soggier side unfortunately, rice was very dry. Also had their caramel flan, typically flans don't have a hardened underside so I don't know if it was a mistake or deliberate but it reminded me of a basque cheesecake. Flavour was good but texture could've been improved by straining the flan mixture to remove bubbles. But overall...

Unfortunately it's not possible to give 0 stars! The food is absolutely tasteless, being Portuguese and having eaten Portuguese food all my life Portuguese this is most certainly not!

The staff are incredibly rude, I usually never comment on bad food I simply don't return, but the food was so disappointing that I felt I had to speak up, after speaking to the waiter, a few minutes later the "manager" goes to the table behind and days "what about this tables any complaints" which was an absolute dig at what we had just complained! So we called her over and said what we had said to the waiter instead of just apologising which would have ended the discussion all she said were excuses such as no one else has complained or that's how other like it when I told her she shouldn't say that to customers she rudely said at my age I don't need any advice, which shows absolute ignorance because advice in a business should always be welcome it's then up to the business to...

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!

We went here last night for a friends birthday and the service we recieved was absolutely disgusting! The waitresses are extremely rude to women me and my friend were ignored multiple times and when trying to order or talk to the waitresses our partners were spoken to yet we were completely ignored.

The food is just as bad as the custom. My partner ordered a beef steak however they brought him pork which was full of fat and gristle and I ordered spaghetti bolognese however the pasta was extremely overcooked and all sat in a pool of brown water! When I asked the staff to change it the waitress grabbed the bowl and proceeded to shout at me in portugese and then said I am too fussy!

If I am paying the prices they are asking I expect a certain level of food to be served!
