Lee Garden — Restaurant in England

I had a Chinese takeout from lee garden and out of all honesty it was the worst Chinese I ever had. The salt and pepper chips were nice but portion was stingy and extremely small. The curry sauce was horrible .. one of the worst Chinese curry sauces I have ever had; tasted horrendous and was a weird colour. Beef curry was terrible as the beef was chewy; slimy and inedible as well as the curry sauce. Chicken fried rice; again was a disappointing I don’t think the rice had seen a woke it was more like boiled rice out of the packet and again the chicken had a weird texture. After one bite full of chicken it was spat on the plate and no more was eaten. Chicken chowmein was a really disappointing they used the same slimy chicken as was in the chicken fried rice and instead of using egg noodles they had used horrible noodles with a weird texture.

On the other hand the salt and pepper fried chicken was lovely but I would not recommend this place as everything else was...

Had a take away from here last night, will NEVER return. Food was bland and no taste to all meals, chips only just cooked, prawn crackers stale. The menu has no allergen information on it, yes I should of asked, I agree, however the chicken and garlic and honey came with cashew nuts throughout. I ate one thinking it was pieces of garlic... no information on menu to say contains nuts! Rang them back up to speak to them... I ended up having to pay for the meal again and go and collect it to find a meal that the chicken was hard and no flavour in the sauce.

I am still suffering from my reaction to the nuts in the food!

The worst part is no one has apologised or even shown any...

Food and environment is clean, staff professional and courteous.

Roast duck was shredded, tender, not fatty, with some crispy skin mixed in. For anyone who's had authentic 北京烤鸭 it won't be the same unfortunately, but it definitely fills a gap for anyone missing that dish!

宫保鸡丁isn't authentic as it seems it's adapted for local audiences, as are quite a lot of the dishes. I'd visit again but ask what they recommend from their menu that gets close to actual flavor dishes from China. Seems heavy on the sauces for the main dishes, which is often not the case in genuine Chinese cuisine. I'll definitely try again and leave another updated review...
