My partner and I visited Lingfield Farm for the first time on a weekday afternoon. The pub has its own car park and easily found a space. The outside was kept clean with beaches around the pub for people to sit outside, which they were as it was a nice sunny afternoon after all. Inside, the pub was busy with families dining in. We approached the bar and was met by a very friendly and helpful staff member who explained how to order food and that we could sit anywhere within the establishment. We found a quiet part of the pub where we ordered our food via the QR code on the menu. They brought over our cutlery, etc, but failed to ask or tell us where we could get sauces. We ordered two meals along with a diet Pepsi and a Guninnes. After a while, I wondered if they would bring our drinks with our food. This didn't happen. Food came, and I had to enquire about our beverages. We sat waiting with our food in front of us. The staff member came back asking again, "Are we sure we ordered drinks, and do I have my receipt. As I was pulling out my phone to search through the emails to show him proof of purchase, another voice yelled to say we did order drinks. Very embarrassing 😳 drinks were brought over via an apology, and we were left to eat what now were two cold chicken burgers and chips. Still, the food was nice, but it would be better if we could have eaten it when arrived without the fuss of providing evidence of purchasing drinks. The atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed the music playlist.

Very lucky won a meal for 2 from the main menu. I had the new improved hunters chicken onion rings chips tomato and garnish my favourite. Hubby tried the new burger which came with fries. Both plates demolished. Would definitely have again Had puddings too apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding yummy. Portion size is fantastic not over facing and not too little Staff are so friendly so welcoming. Spoke to every staff member. You are made to feel special. Will be back Friday with son for the snow White event. Also got eye on the sherry trifle cheesecake so will be back soon thank you to all the wonderful staff

I had a surprise 60th birthday meal here yesterday. The atmosphere was great, the food was amazing and staff went over and above normal expectations to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this place. A*****

3 stars maybe a bit unfair but I went to this pub in its first week of opening many years ago and in truth it was much better back then then it is now. This of course is my opinion, you may disagree. But in the interest of fairness I will only comment on how it is now. The pub itself has a nice vibe about it and the staff are very welcoming. It's great to see the ales from bottles I drink at home are on tap and some are rare to see in pubs, so thats good. And they pull a good pint too. Can't comment on the food of late but I have had it in the past and has been very nice. It does have a pizza oven with an option to take out, but it does take up quite a large area and it's a bit unfair on the pizza shop over the road. They have booths now and I'm in two minds about these. I like the idea behind them and it's really cool to see you can order straight from the both using the touchscreen computer on the wall. Personally though, I prefer the tables they used to have.

I will still go to the Lingfield, or Lingy as its known locally, even though it doesn't fit in what I would consider a comfortable chill out pub to go to. There is a sense of being rushed in the place. It might just be me but it never did have that feeling. I don't live in Coulby Newham anymore but still go there and occasionally go into the Lingy.

I give it three stars only because it doesn't give me that conformable place to go feeling like it once did. I know times change and things have to move on to keep up, I appreciate that but for me, the Lingy has changed a little too much in the...
