Just had a birthday meal at the local hero first time we've visited the pub. Very big lots of space which i liked being in a wheelchair i could get around the place with ease no bumping into chairs, tables or people. Great disabled access nice clean radar key locked toilet. Ordered food for 5 of us which came to just over 60 pound which was very reasonable. Food came out nice and hot in good timing but sadly it didn't really warrant 5 stars it was just average run of the mill high turn over pub food. Not that that's the people running the place fault they are just trained to cook and serve the meals like that I suppose. Nice staff.

I visited Local Hero to try their Sunday roast, but to my disappointment, they were out of the low & slow beef rib. Instead, I opted for the traditional beef, which came with mash, peas, roast potatoes, mini Yorkshire puddings, broccoli, carrots, and a generous serving of gravy. I also added a serving of pigs in blankets. Overall, the meal was adequate, but as far as roasts go, it fell short of expectations. The vegetables offered paled in comparison to your usual seasonal veg, and the beef wasn't particularly flavourful. The standout element was the pigs in blankets, but aside from that, there wasn't much else noteworthy about the dish. It wasn't a bad meal per se, but it's not one I'd choose to have again. I remain curious about their beef rib, but without that option, I doubt I'll be trying another Sunday roast from here anytime soon.

Ordered this as they had no steaks for either of the steak challenges. Tried to order the Mac n cheese food challenge and they informed me they could not make it without jalapeños. I decided to order the pictured item. Was not made aware that there were jalapeños in the chilli con carne. This was the most vile food I’ve ever ate in my entire life, me personally as somebody who doesn’t like peppers or jalapeños I was annoyed that there were jalapeños on the burger, aswell as the chips. No amendments could be made, yet my local Greene king amends it no problem. Disgusting place. Wouldn’t even recommend to someone I disliked.

Food: The chefs need to work on their timing and some basics when it comes to skillet plates (wet onions on a hot plate whilst the steak is sizzling leads to water sitting on the skillet, the steak then is essentially boiling removing flavour from the meat) fix the basics and this becomes a non issue. Service: Excellent, the ladies in here work their ass off and still manage to keep a smile and be very helpful & attentive. Absolutely faultless. Atmosphere: Bit rowdy and some of the patrons here can be quite obnoxious, but that's not a slight on the staff or bar. They probably should keep them in check better.

Absolutely shocking!! Ordered 2 easy, delicious sounding items off the menu along with a 3rd easy one and ALL had issues! Had to wait 40 mins for the food - onion ring stacker, spicy veggie skewer and chilli mango chicken skewer... Came out, both flatbreads drenched in peri peri sauce, making them too hot. No pineapple on the veggie one despite being advertised. No peri peri on the side. No sour cream with the chicken one. Onion ring stack came out 2 short (18, not 20!) And both skewers were cold, meaning they'd sat there for x amount of minutes before being brought out!

Visited for the first time for breakfast, the service was really good and the food was hot and really nice. For the value for money portion I would give it a full five as well because it was a good size portion. Will definitely make this a go to for future morning outings and loads of parking spaces as well. It's not close to where we live but we met up with friends so was a midway point. Went back this week and still exactly the same, really good 👍 Wednesday 5th October 2022 Went again and this time I remembered to take photos
