Walked in there at first not knowing if we would get a table but the lady who I think was front of house was very welcoming, she got us a table straight away and we had a waitress at our table really quick, and I have to say our waitress was absolutely brilliant in terms of service, friendly, helpful, we felt very welcomed, she was 100% on the ball. The treatment was as if we were being treated as secret diners, such a great experience.
In terms of food. We ordered 2 steaks well done. And wow!!! The chef that did those well done steaks was absolutely amazing, it has been years since I've gone to a steakhouse where I haven't had to send the steak back and where the chef has cooked it to perfection. Not a word of a lie, I'm sure the chef could make any steak to perfection if he can make a well done steaks not burnt and still juicy. Pure talent! So big compliments to the chef. The sauces, the chips, the spinach, everything was brilliant. Now I mean £7 for a tiny bit of spinach at any other place I'd say is ridiculous to pay, but everything is so tasty and brilliantly cooked here that it's worth the price, no complaints at all.
The churros were delicious, so fresh and crispy and the chocolate sauce was amazing! We had a 15 minute drive back to the hotel and we spoke about the dining experience the whole way back. I am really impressed, I can without a doubt say that in the 5 years I've been living in England and all the cities I've visited and stayed in that this restaurant literally has made the best food I have had the pleasure of eating. I've been to other countries and the steaks weren't as good, the only place I've had steaks made this well and quality is in South Africa.
From beginning to end, the dining experience here is unmatched, I would definitely be back, I will definitely recommend this restaurant and while you might pay quite a bit, you will not regret it. The ambience in there is great, I literally cannot fault them on anything.

Read moreWonderful Decor, very good steak and a Bannoffee Pie to die for! Hate to say its like a brighter Gaucho, but certainly I find it more pleasant! Gaucho can be very pompous with an air of carnage. This is very relaxed and the staff are very knowledgeable. Cost is worth the quality. Don't go here if you regularly buy Tesco steaks and expect it to be the same cost....or you eat in your local beef eater.... this place is top notch. We went on a Tuesday and were very surprised at how busy it was we booked (Of course) but rang to ask to change the time to later as some of our party had already been out for lunch, the only time they could do was 2 hous later! A very good sign that this place is popular and a sign of how good it is no doubt. Wine menu is good, a Malbec lovers paradise some could say. If you want to splash out and like a good steak then go. If you don't want to splash out but love steak, go here. If you'd rather go to Tesco.....Why are you still reading this? They also have some pleasant Veggie ooptions and non steak insired options...but you really want the steak. Oh and 300g Steak is worth it...225g just doesn't satisfy. One thing I will say is that the presentation of the Steak feels like its lacking something...maybe some random side Garnish or something, just to make it look more appealing, but you'll forget about that when you take your first mouthful of a tender and buttery meaty goodness. Well done Lomito, I can see myself and my other half becoming annoying regulars. (FYI Fillet Med...
Read moreGreat vibe. It is buzzy, without being too loud. Lots of friend groups and family groups in the restaurant. The service is fairly attentive. As far as service goes it was good. My waiter regularly topped up my water, though did not enquire whether everything was ok.
They do that rather old fashioned early 2000s thing of bringing a board of raw meat to show you at the table. Really. So unnecessary. Especially if the meat is "leaking" on the board, which it was. If the chef is any good, then I'd expect him/her to be choosing good cuts and there really is no value added in showing me raw meat. It's gross.
I had the ribeye with chips and a bearnaise sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked and the chips were excellent (which in my opinion is often the dividing factor between ok and good steak houses). My only criticism on the food would be that the steak didn't appear to be rested so there was a lot of blood seeping onto the plate. Which is a pity given how nicely it was done. The bearnaise was good and complemented the steak well.
On the whole I found the prices to be quite steep, but then I have come from a market where a decent steak will cost a tenner. Or a little more, but not much.
I had a glass of the second cheapest wine (I'm on a bit of a budget), and it was pretty decent.
All in all, I'd recommend the place. A few small things they could improve, but I'd definitely come back if I was...
