PizzaExpress — Restaurant in England

Would give 0 if I could! Very bad service today at this particular restaurant. There was one waitress when we walked in who wouldn’t take our order and told us to wait till somebody else came. A young boy turned up later in his jacket and rucksack and went round the back and then we had to wait another 15 minutes before he came out so in total we were there half an hour or so before even a drinks order was taken from us. After this, we placed our starters order, half way through starters we placed our mains order.

We were waiting 45 minutes already and there was no sign of food, and our mains never turned up. When we went to ask the manager, who was behind the food counter, with no hair net on, very (unhygienic!!!!) we were told it would be another 20 to 30 minutes. Our food hadn’t even gone in yet! No apology or anything, just abrupt!

At this point our parking was running out as parking around that area is not great. We explained that nobody had to come over to us and told us that our food was delayed, which I feel is very unprofessional as somebody should have at least told us what to expect.

At this point we asked for the bill, our server was Elyas. When the bill came I asked Elyas for the managers name as the manager has had not once approached us to apologise for anything, and even when we asked her about the food just gave us an abrupt answer of 20 to 30 minutes.

Elyas refused to give us the managers name. I said that this was not inappropriate as it’s okay to give the manager’s name but Elyas refused and said he would not give us the managers name so we have no idea what the manager was called, but the team were poorly managed and the staff were incapable of Working through the lunch hour . It was a despicable experience, one I’ve never experienced in any restaurant before. Not happy at all! We didn’t get anything in return. No effort was made at all by the manager or staff to make us feel at ease or tell us that they were sorry.

Nothing was taken off our bill as a way of apology. We paid for our starters and drinks and left very hungry and disappointed. Will NOT be visiting this...

A Truly Memorable Birthday Celebration at Pizza Express, Gerrards Cross!

I cannot recommend Pizza Express in Gerrards Cross highly enough! My little family and I had an amazing experience celebrating my daughter's birthday there, and it was all thanks to the incredible manager, Sanja, and her wonderful team.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a special family occasion. But what truly stood out was the thoughtful and heartfelt surprise they prepared for my daughter.

Sanja and her team went above and beyond to make her birthday unforgettable. They took the time to organize a lovely surprise that left my daughter smiling from ear to ear. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making her day special, and that personal touch meant so much to us.

The food, as always, was delicious, with fresh ingredients and plenty of options to satisfy everyone in the family. Whether you're looking for a family-friendly meal or a place to celebrate a special occasion, Pizza Express Gerrards Cross is the perfect choice.

Would rate the service 0 stars if I could. Firstly when we entered the restaurant, this younger female waitress constantly kept looking at us whilst we waited to be given a table. Half of the restaurant was empty anyway, so it’s not like there was no space for us. She constantly had eye contact but ignored us. It was until a long wait after, another waitress noticed us and gave us a table. The first female waitress who kept ignoring us, constantly kept looking at me throughout the whole time, as if she was blatantly ignoring us on purpose. She was not even busy doing anything, just stood in a corner.

After long waiting, we were finally asked for our order and finally being served our food. After we finished our food, we had our hands up to ask for the bill, as Parking time was getting close to the end. It was very obvious we was waiting and asking. A male waiter then had eye contact with us 4 times and straight away looks away, and pretends he didn’t notice us. It took us a long while to finally get the bill. Overall those 2 waiters were absolutely appalling with their service and attitude. Not the customer service attitude they should have with their job.
