Thought i’d try this place as it had high ratings, really unsure why. First, i ordered directly through their website and it would not let me select my address so i selected my neighbour and wrote in big letters the correct number explaining which was the right address, i then immediately rang up the restaurant to confirm the correct number which was all okay. I ordered at 20:50 and was sent a confirmation it will be here in 50 mins at 21:40. Fast forward it’s no 22:15 i rang the restaurant and spoke to same person to ask where my order was? he was confused and said let me ask the kitchen 2 seconds. I held. Heard some commotion in the background then quite visibly heard the young speaker come back, pick up the r phone and hang up on me. I immediately rang back and was sent to voicemail. I then tried again fuming at this point to be greeted by a different man explaining they are cooking it and leaving now and will be here in 20 minutes, being cocky down the phone saying it doesn’t take 7 minutes to cook an indian and deliver it. I explained i ordered 2 hours ago AND rang up and he backtracked and said he only just received the order?? because these online people “hold” back their orders and this happens all the time apparently lol, fast forward to 22:45 the restaurant closes at 11pm so i was worried i wasn’t getting any food. The guy explained he’s not leaving here until the driver comes back as he has taken his car which baffled me as he claims i ordered online and places like uber hold back these order apparently😂i said i ordered directly through you and your own staff was delivering it so no idea. Anyways, i finally get my food at 22:59pm, i had to go outside and meet him because he had no idea where to look which is fair enough and will give credit where it’s due. He was overly apologetic and sincere explaining how one of the workers is “hella slow” and they cooked everything fresh. He said the food was still warm, which it was. But noticed when i got in, loads of oil had been spilt and was a very messy situation to dish up my food, it was full of oil and for the price you pay, it’s very little portions, overall dissatisfied with the whole scenario and will never be eating here...

Had a very disappointing experience. Only mango lassi tasted good and one star for the staff as they were helpful and heard the feedback. They also gave option to replace or change the dish but it already was late for me. Service was a bit slow, samosa was just manageable but Paneer Makhni was really bad. It tasted sweet and first time I saw paneer makhni being made with coconut milk or extract. It was a big big turn off. If you are used to Indian style of cooki, avoid this place. If you are there then share expectations before ordering to know what...
Read moreDining at Maharaj was nothing short of a culinary journey. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere, expertly created by the friendly and fun staff. But the true star of the show was the food. The lamb was a work of art, cooked to perfection, while the naan bread was the best I have ever tasted. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail in every dish, each ingredient carefully chosen and expertly prepared. The end result was a symphony of flavors that was both comforting and exciting.
Overall, Maharaj is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining. With its impeccable food, warm atmosphere and fantastic staff, it is no wonder that it is one of the most sought after dining destinations. 5 stars from this...
