It was a dark Sunday night in October, the moon was low and the air was crisp. Emma and I had just come from sea, and so we'd built up quite a hunger. We ventured up the stairs and immediately we were struck by the life preserver stood majestically above the bar, we discussed how this may be a metaphor for us finding this place of solace in a cold and lonely word. We proceeded to the bar, and clasped our eyes upon the menu. After fierce debate we compromised with what they call a 'half and half'. Read moreGreat atmosphere, great staff and they allow dogs. They have gluten free beer on tap, which is great. However, they don’t do gluten free food, the previous reviews are incorrect. The menu says “if you want a gluten free pizza ask us”, I did and they said the gluten free pizza is prepared on a flour surface and placed on the same cooking surface as the regular pizzas. They do fries, but they are cooked in the same oil as the dough balls, so aren’t gluten free. So major toms isn’t a place you can eat if you are gluten free (coeliac), but if you are just gluten reduced, you could possibly be fine. So this is a great bar to come to for drinks or food, if you have no gluten free friends. If you are gluten free, remember to eat first or you will be...
