This store is a new addition to the McDonald's chain and it shows. Staff are new and nervous. No smiles and eye contact when delivering food. No customer engagement ( would you like condiments,? Enjoy your meal.... Forget it they haven't got there yet!) No cleaning of tables because there is no one on duty to do that and customers can't clear their table as the deposit stations for refuse are overflowing and stacked up with dirty trays. I ordered a simple cheese burger meal with medium fries and a coffee and a bottle of water. I managed to find a table which had not been abandoned with debris on it however the tables to the left of me all had trays abandoned on them. I expected the server to clear as he delivered but forget it. That was not going to happen which tells me no pride in their work and zero customer care and service Surely McDonald's would have focussed on the customer service experience during training,? Or is this restaurant a franchisee who wants the branding but gives not a damn to the delivery of a customer experience? I suspect that is the case . The cheese burger was disappointing. The meat patty was NOT in the bun. It was 3/4 OUT Of the bunand was carelessly assembled. Coffee good. Bottle of water good. Fries hot but could be better if condiments offered. No one thanked me as I left. 3.7.2022. UPDATE VAST improvement in both service and cleanliness. Table service was speedy and delivered with a smile. Clear down stations were regularly checked and tables being wiped down after use. Great to see the improvement in...

The worst maccies you’ll prob ever visit. Once you get your food after miserable service and a wait that’s beyond a joke, 9/10 times your order will be wrong. And your food will be cold and incomplete ie. Today,a quarter pounder ‘deluxe’ containing no lettuce, one shred of onion and a 10p blob of Mayo. A previous visit, and I know it’s hard to fathom how, I got a Big Mac that was bread and bun
zero anything else??!!!! Today it was staffed entirely by youngsters ,which is fine, if they weren’t rude, miserable and looked like someone has a gun to their head to be there. No receipt printers in self order screens, no order monitor screen working, no ketchup/napkin station, just about every table empty but covered in food and rubbish, as was the floor. Nobody manning the till so people wanting to order by cash just left for 10 minutes. A manger guy did eventually shuffle over from the office/toilet corridor (past the surrounding mess) and stood at the counter directing the staff from the customer side of the counter whilst showing them his mobile phone
I assume with what was the order system/list on. No wonder the younger staff are so oblivious and disinterested when you watch scruffy, slow, miserable management run the place like that. It’s maccies, you don’t expect fine dining, but a don’t expect the dirty, disorganised, unfriendly experience you get at Ulverston. Will they care? Prob not because it’s the only one for miles, but if I was senior management or franchise owner...

Absolute JOKE. Always ridiculously slow. This is a slow food restaurant and most definitely not a fast food restaurant. After ordering my food I was told to wait in the car park. It wasn’t a particularly large order either. After a 10 minute wait in the car park I got my food and after checking it I was missing a plain burger a plain cheeseburger and a double cheeseburger. I told the member of staff and she went back inside to sort it out. A further 5 minutes and nothing. I told another member of staff and after 5 minutes still nothing so I had to drive back round to the drive through as I had my kids in the car and it was absolutely roasting. A further 5 minutes sat at the window and I finally got my food. The staff are all completely clueless and it seems like nobody in there knows what to do. There must have been 4 or 5 cars in the car park all waiting and they seemed as ticked off as me. I will never return here again I’d rather drive to barrow in future. Don’t waste your time with this absolute shower of a so called fast food restaurant. How it is still open I have no idea. I’ve never had a good experience here and that is the last time I will ever go there. If I could have given zero stars for this review...

What a disgusting place!! Dirty, unkept, tables filthy and not cleared. Could barely find a clean seat. Toilets disgusting. When I asked a team member if they were short staffed he said no but he hadn’t been in the restaurant area for a while
all day he should have said, or should that have been ‘grunted’!! What a miserable little man!! Not happy in his job at all! Food was totally average, cold fries and had to ask for them to be replaced, no milkshakes and no sauces in the dispensers!! Maybe time for a spot inspection Mac Donald’s!!

Bins overflowing people leaving customers with no choice but to leave rubbish on nearby tables. Nostaff seen on the shop floor throughout our visit. I went to look for the shift manager, staff stood around in the kitchen area, including the female manager. When I complained about the state of the whole place and the number of flies around her response was “ok thanks”. There place was not busy, no excuse just very poor management

Probably one of the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been too with a lovely view of Ulverston lighthouse, food was as expected from McDonald’s but the staff where very polite, friendly and helpful, one of the staff members in particular noticed we where on holiday due to our accents and he made conversation with us about what we had planned and about the area in general which was a nice way to start our time away.
