If I could give this McDonald's venue a rating of 0, even the rating of 1 that I'm giving feels too generous and is hurting my conscience. When I and my family first entered the place, my expectations weren't very high as I checked the reviews before hand but what I had experienced somehow went lower than my lowest expectations. For starters, when i entered this dumpster there was food all over the floor, on seats and even on the table with sauces smothered all over them. Me and my family wanted a table so we had to even start cleaning the table ourselves which makes me think that they don't even hire any cleaners at all. Once we all took our orders and then went to collect the food that began the worst experience of the day. Their costumer service is appalling, when they called our number for our food we went up to collect it after our 1 hour wait and since we were eating inside, my mum asked for a tray but the tray they gave us was filled with grit and grime with nothing covering it, so my mum politely asked for a clean tray but what they did was horrendous. Not only did they not give us a new tray or cleaning it they didn't even talk to us like humans they stood far away from us, disgusted and was telling their other employees to "deal with this rubbish" then when their manager came she stood far away from us then even couldn't give us their name and even she was very rude and couldn't even care like it was all a waste of her time. When we took the food finally as no one attended to us, it was very cold, the drink wasn't even half full, the fries were stale, cold and although I got large fries it wasn't even 2 thirds full also we even had some of the order missing which is shameful. After the encounter with the manager named Aston, she said that she would come back to us but even after me and my family stayed there for 2 hours she never came to talk to us. Read moreBeen going to this McDonald’s for last month , at the beginning as service was sooo slow I thought it was teething problems as it recently opened . Month later still same issues . God the staff are so slow and keep messing orders up . Ordered the cheese n bacon meal with shake . The girl puts my burger on tray then starts another order leaving mine to start going cold . Must of been 3 minutes later I get my food . Then after few bites realise no bacon in it . Told a member of staff to see the manager and 5 mins later still no one. Then asked another member can u see what’s happening this is after he cleaned 4 trays in about 6 mins Jesus how slow . Told them didn’t want it replacing but a voucher should be offered as I did pay for bacon I never got ,,,and guess what he brought one after I had eaten . Then he says can I go to the counter and at this point there was a queue of people so cba waiting . The lad who I was with went to the toilet and said last week there was no soap in dispenser now one has been ripped off the wall and the other dispenser is empty too . The management should be dealing with customers problems instead of hiding behind the scenes . As u can see from the reviews your not very good and same problems arise . Read moreLovely staff, was very simple to order, got my toffee latte fairly quickly, price is a lil steep than the other local ones but then again it is Northallerton. Was very tidy on the outside and could see the maintenance guy working hard even with a smile on his face.
Everyday is a learning curve when you work in hospitality so if you are in a rush or looking for an argument please go elsewhere if all you are going to do is shout at workers for simple things when all they need is a bit of patience, reassurance and confidence, that way these small things are unlikely to happen again. The amount of abuse these workers get is awful so it's easy to see why they may feel inclined to avoid the customer dining area when there is a fear of being abused by customers.
Just remember for some of these workers it's their first job hence why things might not be as up to scratch. There are always two sides to a story which unfortunately isn't something you'll likely get from reviews, I'm sure some of these reviews have a point but I'm also sure they were resolved and some form of action had taken place which may not have been mentioned.
