McDonald's is always the best place to eat something quick and tasty and this have to go along with good customer service. A lady which was kind, received us at the door introducing the COVID-19 measurement to follow in the store for take away, very good. Then had to ask a question so went to the till where a boy didn't even look at me, really rude. I did understand that he was doing drive through service but could at least tell me "2 minute please", instead had to wait 3 minutes until someone else received me. Placed my order at the kiosk which was sanitized immediately after I used it by the lady at the door and then waited outside before collecting my food. Had a veggy burger meal with a bottle of water. The food was well presented. The burger was quite cold and not enough filled with sauce and lettuce, so tasted dry. Instead the chips were fresh, hot and crispy. Our friends mentioned that his fries were just sling in the bag upside down and another customer took offence who knew the staff and managed ti escalate an argument and got him barred. Then when their son went in to order for their elderly parent back at the campsite they refused to serve him! This is when my son and I went in to order and they held the order up which was rude and unprofessional. We as a family had not caused a scene or any argument but we’re discriminated against because of association. Therefore this act was very petty and against consumer rights. Management need a review of de-escalation and good customer service and just put the chips in the box and put them in the bag up-right. Read moreWe were greeted at the door by a gentleman in a face mask and apron called Nathan. Nathan was cheerful, friendly and polite, explaining that we could order from either the screens, counter or app. He provided us with a table number and even came to check on us as we hadn't ordered for the last 15 mins, to check we were ok (as we were trying to work the app out). He even offered to help us with the app.
Nathan checked all incoming staff members temperatures and continued his high level of service for all other customers.
The food was hot, fresh and had been put together with care (REALLY well presented) not just chucked together like some other places we have been too.
And guess what?!?!
THEIR MILKSHAKE MACHINE WAS WORKING!! Unlike a lot of places (Tiverton especially) where it always seems to be off, or broken.
