I come into McDonald's Yate around about twice a month, ordering the same thing. The fries are always crispy, evenly salted and super tasty. The McPlant is wonderful, probably my favourite food item on the menu! I visited today after work at around 1pm (18/11/24) and sat down to eat my food. It was piping hot and served much faster than it was a month or so ago. The renovations done to the building have made it so much more comfortable and quick to order!

I wanted to point out how hard-working one of the staff members was today. A young chap was sweeping the floor and taking care of the tables when people had left. Wore his usual uniform with the cap and a black maybe bomber-style jacket. Had brown mid-length curly/wavy hair. Didn't catch his name as I couldn't see a badge, but I was honestly so impressed with his efficiency, so I hope that this can be passed on to his management and he can get the praise he deserves! He was so sweet and friendly too, helping me to figure out how to leave a review.

Really bad experience at McDonald's Yate Drive-Through, made an order through the speaker system and paid at the 1st counter contactless and asked for a receipt to confirm the payment had been processed and was told it would be given on the next window. On the next window we were told that the payment hadn't been processed, despite it going through and being debited on my bank card. I show them the screenshots of the payment which had just been processed however they demanded that the payment was to be taken again. What I assume was the manager was rude and unhelpful. I asked for the void receipt and refused to repay, as far as I am concerned the transaction went through as shown on my bank statement, I didn't receive any receipt to show otherwise. If they could have provided this as proof then I would have repaid but this wasn't the case. From experience of when a transaction doesn't complete it doesn't show up on my mobile app. We were told to wait in bay 1 with drinks, one which was incorrect.
