Metro Lounge — Restaurant in England

After reading the reviews my friend and I decided to come here for a meal .Our 1st impression quirky decore, good music . Nice staff. We were the only people in eating i ordered the vegan falafel salad, my friend ordered a wrap. it was cold so we went upstairs.on popping to the loo I had to ask for toilet paper non in any of the toilets. When we Eventually got our food my falafel was rock hard & tasted like it had been deep fried in old burnt oil. The hallumi was also burnt and really salty. (CHEAP) The peppers in the salad were oviously out of a jar i saw 1 of the so called chefs scooping the houmous out of a container. My friends wrap was burnt. Considering the meals we ordered were v simple I don't know how the so called chefs would have managed if there had been anymore customers in ! I'd like to know who's writing the Rave reviews they must be prepared to eat any rubbish if they think this is a good place! Don't waste your money...

Love coming here but the food is pretty hit and miss. The beef burgers are amazing but don’t chance the chicken burgers because each time I’ve had one it’s been incinerated to destruction point. Ordered the Kiev burger last Saturday and it arrived resembling something like a deep fried leathery old shoe sole. Literally tough as old boots, with two tiny limp leaves of lettuce, missing the garlic butter and gremolata and served with roughly ten bits of fries which were like the broken dregs you get at the bottom of the bag.

Didn’t want the hassle of returning it/asking for replacement and then having to sit and eat long after my partner had finished, so I just left it. Nobody came to clear the plates or check on the meal when we were eating, even though the place was practically empty. Not my best...

Bad staff but a Cool little place. Staff are unprofessional all chatting little working. No way to distinguish staff from customers as there is no uniform they were in light-wash jeans and hoodies no aprons or name tags. Food came out quickly which was nice however it got cold waiting for sauce I was trying to make eye contact with staff however they turned a blind eye. Someone else told a worker that we needed assistance. Small portions and overpriced for basic ingredients but great options. Very cramped but nice options of seating. Would skip it and go somewhere else. Took a friend for her birthday I was totally embarrassed. It could be an amazing place but it needs a bit of straightening out...
