đđđđđ "BAKERY HEAVEN ON EARTH!" đđđđđ
Let me boldly declare: Nena Craft Bakery is not simply a bakeryâit's a culinary miracle nestled on Sycamore Road in Amersham. From the very first bite, youâll understand why locals whisper âbakery heavenâ and travel miles just for a crusty sourdough loaf and a flakey almond croissant. The experience here is nothing short of MAGICAL.
Imagine handâterraforming organic sourdough made daily with love and integrity. Add buttery croissants filled with almond cream so dreamâlike youâll close your eyes midâbite. Donât forget the cheesecakeâstunning in both flavour and presentationâand those pasta de nata custards that sing with cinnamon perfection.
If coffee is your lifeblood, prepare for euphoria. Their espresso is described as amongst the best in the UK, rivaling Londonâs finest, and utterly unforgettable. As one reviewer said: âI drive ten miles to have a coffee here rather than endure inferior brews.â
Step inside and youâll be enveloped by a light, airy cafĂŠ atmosphere buzzing with the happy hum of pastry lovers. Staff are warm, energetic, and sometimes downright ecstatic about sharing their creationsâthink artisan bakery meets community theatre, with baked goods as the stars.
Every loaf, tart, and bun is handcraftedâthere are no shortcuts. They bake with organic flour, no daily-changing specials, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Whether savoury focaccia, ciabattas, breads, or decadent sweet pastries, everything shouts âcraftâ in all caps.
Letâs talk reputationâNena is rated 4.7/5 on Google, ranks top among Amersham cafes, and is often crowned "the best bakery in Buckinghamshire." Patrons celebrate it as âbetter than Londonâs finestâ and âbetter than Iâve tasted anywhere in the world.â
In summary:
đĽ Pastries: Irresistibly flaky, generously filled, bakery bliss on steroids
đ Bread: Sourdough and artisan loaves so sublime theyâve converted critics into fans
â Coffee: Espresso and barista creations up there with the elite of London
đ Staff & Atmosphere: Friendly, passionate team in a cozy, buzzing cafĂŠ space
â¤ď¸ Overall Vibe: A joyous celebration of craft bakingâevery visit feels like a triumph
If the bakery were a person, itâd be crowned royalty. If pastries could soar, these would ride fireworks. If coffee had a soundtrack, itâd be this placeâs espresso.

Read moreSadly our 1st visit was very disappointing. I'd asked for coffees to be extra hot as fed up with being given a semi warm coffee that you feel you have to rush it down before it becomes too cold. Well the 4 young staff members were all huddled together behind the counter having a good chat instead of focusing on the customers. We collected our coffees only to find no spoons or forks for our coffees & cakes. Only to be told, when asked where we could find them ,which seeing as they were positioned on the staffs side of counter and they were doing nothing, you'd assume the staff would provide them to us?? Then we tried our coffees only to find even though I'd requested extra hot ,they were barely tepid! The cups weren't even warm. The young man didn't even apologise when I took them back as was more interested in the conversation he was having with the girls. My stars are purely for my cheesecake which was good but my friends muffin was...
Read moreNice bakery with a good range of pastries & savoury products & good coffee. The only thing is if you are not familiar with what they sell the queue does obscure the view of the end of the counter & you seeing the savoury items at the far end - as you order nearer the sweet pastry end but if you duck round the queue & ask to have a quick look the customers in front were accommodating & nice to let me take a quick look. Service is good & aplenty of staff so quick service & choice of both outdoor & indoor seating. Pastry I had was lovely, flaky & fresh tasting with fresh raspberries. Very popular...
