Came in for a Saturday night meal with my parents. It was adequate. A major disadvantage was just how hot the restaurant was. This did not suit eating steak. It was boiling. It's only June. I cannot imagine having been here for something more important, like on a date or on business. It would have been embarrassing. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, a key order had been taken incorrectly, meaning that our food and drink eventually arrived very much disjointed. We also had another small miscommunication over dessert. The chap was presumably new, but he did at least try hard. He was really polite, human, and happy to apologise. The food was a mixed bag. We had a lovely côte de boeuf to share. We also had an acceptable rump steak, but it was incredibly thin. This makes it hard to get it both rare and seared. The kitchen did not achieve the sear. The associated chips, wedge and sauces were all very nice. The beef barbacoa macaroni cheese was truly an insult to the term "barbacoa". It was just beef mixed in with cheap tasting barbecue sauce. This made it far too sweet. The scallops and lobster tail sides tasted very much frozen, and lacked flavour. We were disappointed to have missed out on being able to try the Miller's Mango Bomb dessert, which had sold out. It was a shame to learn this after having decided on our order, with two of us having wanted to order it. All in all, not somewhere that I'd be able to readily recommend.

We ate at Miller & Carter (Hereford) for my Sons 20th birthday celebration. The greeter, whose name I didn't get, was very friendly and accepted the cake we had brought with us for my Sons surprise. When we were seated on a booth table we noticed very quickly it was really humid and hot in the restaurant, uncomfortably so. We asked to be moved to a cooler area, this was not possible due to a couple larger groups that did turn up, however we did note that the circular table at the front of the restaurant (which we'd asked to be moved to) remained empty past the time we left the venue. This was disappointing the experience would have been far better in this cooler area. Our server Megan was fabulous. She was very friendly, chatty and confident and took care of us well, the 4 stars are for both her and the initial greeter. The food was good. A little pricey for the portion size. But to be honest the whole experience would have been far better if we hadn't felt cooked ourselves, it was quite uncomfortable. If we hadn't been there for a celebration we would have left and eaten somewhere else purely due to the temperature. My Son had to go outside a couple times to cool down and soaked his hair in water he was that hot.

Pretty average experience. Went on a Thursday night at 6pm, was quiet but quickly got busy. Table was ok, though with an almost empty restaurant they decided to seat us next to another occupied table. What was poor was the seat they gave me, it was dirty with old spilt food, not what I'd expect from this type of restaurant. Also paper napkins doesn't give a great impression, cloth would really enhance the experience. Food was mixed, several of the table had good meal, unfortunately mine wasn't so good. I ordered the fillet steak, medium rare. When it came it was definitely more towards rare, all the other steaks ordered were also under. The steak clearly hadn't been rested and when I cut into it, was sat in a pool of bloody liquid. Fries were disappointing, skin on, and not great. I'd prefer proper chips as should be served with a steak. The onion loaf was an interesting addition but wasn't needed and added nothing to the meal. The best thing about the meal was the the Bordelaise sauce which was delicious. The service was excellent, which definitively makes a big difference Overall it's a chain restaurant and feels like it, wouldn't rush back again.

Terrible meal. One starter was suppose to be prawn/advocado only a prqwn cocktail! Cutlery was replenished after starters so main meals came and we were short of cutlery! Ordered a rump steak med/well done is was well done so was sent back. Young lady serving us took meal then a woman came back with it and told us that chef thought it was okay no apology still sent back and new meal must have been put on the bottom of the pile and when it came the three others had all eaten their meals thats how long it took to cook it! We were treated like we had never been in your restaurant before. Mango bombes ordered white chocolate didnt taste like white chocolate very disappointing and my liquor coffee had been spilt all down the sides so I sent it back for another one. The young lady who served us was very inexperienced, the woman who we presumed was in charge didnt apologise to us or come and ask if everything was alright. The only member of staff who was any good was the man behind the bar who showed us to our seats and brought my replaced liquor coffee. I usually have a bistro rump steak and is always great but now you have stopped supplying this I went for a rump steak expecting it to be good like other restaurants we go to but it was overcooked on the first one and the second one was so...

Went here on Sunday 14th July for our 40th Ruby anniversary. Just me and my husband decided to have a night away on our own. my husband signed up for the special offer of receiving a glass of prosecco for free.We thought we would have a glass each, but only 1 glass was the deal. A bit odd I thought, but out of courtesy 1 glass each would of be nice. Next thing was that we had the 3 course meal for just under 35 pounds each .food was really nice, but when we had the bill we was charged nearly 14 pounds extra they didn't charge us for the set 3 course meal , each course was separate, when I pointed this out to the waitress she came back with a different bill, which was correct. Then we gave the waitress a 20 pound gift card voucher to take off our bill. The waitress came back and said they can't accept it, I said that when we went online to see if they accept the gift voucher it said yes, the waitress then said that only some Miller and Carter's accept them. We are from Wales and have used miller and carter many times twice in cardiff and once in Caerphilly, never had any problems with gift vouchers etc. It was very disappointing to be honest and such a shame because the meals was really good. It was just the service and attide of some staff. Definitely won't be...
