We went to this little place, tucked away behind the main street down a narrow passageway, for a light lunch. We decided on double eggs and chips because it was simple, light and relatively good value. We had a brief conversation with the woman who served us (presumably the owner) about the local area and she was very pleasant and conversational. The food took a little time to arrive (we were hungry, and to be honest, a little impatient!), but when it did, we were not disappointed with what we received. The eggs were nice and large, with bright runny yolks, and properly cooked --solid whites, runny yolks (how many times are eggs served snotty?). They have a full coffee bar (espresso, Americano, machiato, etc.) as well as pastries, cookies and such to go along with. Everything is home-made. Toilets.and free WiFi on premises. The menu looked nice, sandwiches, salads, etc. but we'll come back another day when they are serving. Worth...
Read moreWhat a find. Fabulous little cafe accessed by an alley from the High Street. Plenty of options available including lunches and teas and all day breakfast. Polite and friendly service with really nice touches incl play area and old style games, alice in wonderland pictures. Good quality food served hot and as we were leaving to set off on our long journey back down south, the owner gave us some fresh scones as it was close to closing, what a lovely and kind thing to do. Just a shame we only found them on our last day. Will definitely try and go back next time in the area and recommend to anyone visiting,...
