Absolute gem of a find, in the centre of Cockermouth Market Town in the lake district. This small cafe is tucked away down a side lane just off Main street next to Boots pharmacy, if you can't find it, just ask.
This lovely cafe, quirkily decorated, serves superb food from homemade cake and scones to main more filling delights like gammon, cumberland sausage, and lasagne.
Daily specials are available, alongside pensioners specials and afternoon teas for £11.95 a head. Prices are very cheap. 2 x teas £3.80. Main meal specials £7.95 or 2 x £12.00.!
Outdoor seating is available and well behaved dogs are welcome but owners are politely asked to 'lie down' their pouches.

The cakes by the way are superb!
Keep up...
