O'Neill's York — Restaurant in England

Oniells was great, until we met the doorman on the way out!

We had a great time inside, with no issues. The venue itself is great, nice big screen with football on and we stayed for a good hour.

Our troubles didn’t start until we left, where we were met with the most racist and obnoxious doorman. As we went to leave, I asked the doorman for a high five. Immediately he said no, which is fine, but then when questioned by other people in our party, decided to loose his mind. There was a heated argument which he made several derogatory comments to my friends and wife. I didn’t like his response so decided to pull him up, which ended in us having an even more heated conversation! My friend told me to leave it, so in the best interest of the situation I did, even though I was still angry at his conduct. My wife was still stood near him and had a conversation about it only being a high five and his exact words to my wife were “you white people think you’re so privileged”!!

At this point she turned around and walked away as she knew this guy was racist and was in absolute shock he would say something like this.

We’re more offended about the racist comment than anything, as if it was the other way round, I’m sure this doorman would have radioed for the police and we’d all be getting locked up for racism.

Pub was great, doorman is racist and offensive and needs...

Not really happy with their services :/ on Saturday I've ordered their shroom and blue pizza , my bf ordered ribs and wings. Mine came as chicken with peas and blue sauce my bf received beef with chips. Because we came there to watch football he even didn't realised that this is not what he ordered. So he just ate it. I've returned mine to waitress and explained that I've ordered pizza not chicken breast with garden peas. Waitress took my plate back to kitchen ... But then she come back with after few min saying that it was my mistake that I HAVEN'T SPECIFIED THAT I WANT SHROOM AND BLUE PIZZA NOT SHROOM AND BLUE CHICKEN . .. and she put back plate on table. Obv I wasn't happy with her answer so I took that bloody plate back to another waitress and told her that I want my money back because if I can NOT get pizza which I want I don't want anything else. Surprisingly waitress accepted plate and commented that she will give me my money back as that was their mistake. Cheeky buggers. Won't be coming...

Visited O'Neils whilst on an Easter break to York with my husband and two children. We popped in for lunch on Good Friday after visiting the Railway Museum. We found a table straight away and chose to order via the app as the bar was quite busy. We ordered drinks and food and the process was really efficient. We swapped tables shortly after ordering as a table had become available in the window and we wanted to take advantage of the sunshine. There were also plug sockets there where we were able to charge our phones whilst having lunch. Ww told our server that we had moved tables when he brought our drinks over and he amended our order so our food would come straight to the correct table. We ordered 2 children's meals which were absolutely excellent value for money. We also had a ham and cheese panini and chips. All food came out quickly and was piping hot. Overall a really pleasant afternoon and good...
