Ori Caffe — Restaurant in England

Unfortunately, our experience at Ori Cafe was far from what we expected. We arrived at 4pm, well within their opening hours (they close at 5pm), only to be told they were no longer serving any blended drinks because the blenders and worktop had already been cleaned.

It was sad to see that 3/4 of the cafe was already closed off with chairs and the staff visibly starting their closing routine—sweeping, cleaning tables, and even mopping the floors with a strong chemical solution. The smell was overwhelming, and with no ventilation, it made staying inside very unpleasant.

We were really disappointed. For a cafe that's on the pricier side, this kind of rushed, end-of-day atmosphere and lack of customer consideration was not what we paid for. Won’t be returning...

Terrible coffee. The service and coffee has been going down hill for a while now. My Cappuccino was not hot enough and was not made properly. Clearly no Barrister training. I took my coffee back to the counter , I explained about my coffee and asked if she could make me another one. My mother’s flat white was the same. I didn’t see the person making my Cappuccino as I went back to my table. It had clearly been put under the steamer to heat it up. I could tell it was not made again. It’s such a shame, my mother and I used to love coming here for a coffee at the weekend. I just don’t know why it’s gone down hill? I would not recommend this cafe until they sort out their staff and give them proper Barrister training and customer...

I'm really not one to leave reviews typically, but I've just come from visiting this cafe with my partner and I felt I had to! The food, drinks and atmosphere was wonderful and I honestly regret not coming here sooner. It almost seems a little too tucked away, but I think that it works in their favour. Special praise should be given to the Manager (Beckie?), who went above and beyond for a slightly awkward order (I'm the problem!), but it was dealt with sensitivity, attentiveness and care. These qualities were also echoed by the team that she had working with her (sorry, I didn't get their names, but one was tall with dark hair?). I'll...
