Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in England

Ordered from here twice. The first time, the pizza was overcooked. The second time, the side dish was undercooked. The last order has been a disaster. Allegedly, due to their system issues, my online order never arrived, yet I was still charged. During the phone call, they suggested placing the order again. Interestingly, when I provided my order number, they knew my address but couldn't see the details of the order or deliver it. Quite strange. They suggested placing the order and paying over the phone again. It was getting late and we were starving so I placed order again. Unfortunately, they got my order wrong (let's say it could be due to my accent, but if they couldn't hear me, they could have asked for clarification). Since I paid twice I was told I would receive a refund and an email regarding the cancellation of the online order. Let's see how that plays out. It sure is too early to speak about refund itself but I haven't received any email acknowledging their error or providing information about the canceled order. Essentially, I paid twice for an order that arrived late, was incorrect, and undercooked.

The driver was friendly, but given all of the above I can't give any more stars.

Upd it's been two weeks and there's been no progress. Customer support is not supportive. I actually have to now escalate with my bank if I want to get the refund. Thus was my last time ordering...

Very disappointing experience. Delivery took far longer than expected considering how close we are to the store: we could have driven there and back again twice in the time it took them to deliver after they said it was ‘out for delivery’.

The pizza itself is very bland and tastes similar to what you’d buy from a kebab place after a night out at a uni town rather than a pizza place that charges almost £20 a pizza. We only managed about three slices each and then threw it away: neither of us could bear even keeping it for leftovers the next day, a real waste.

Overall extremely poor experience and would not recommend this store or any Papa Johns pizza to anyone in future - there are plenty of lower-priced alternatives with better pizza that deliver faster....

Just had a big family bash and to cover the late night nibbles I had bought 5 of the XL thin crust (Works, All meats and a Chicken) from Papa Johns Sandhurst in advance. They were split then into four slice portions, wrapped in cling film (while still warm) and then whacked into the freezer.

On the night, from frozen, they took 8 minutes at 200c in a fan oven on a tin pizza tray and they were as good as new. Every 10 minutes I put out another batch until everyone was fed. Everyone loved them. No excess oil, well topped almost to the outer edges and very very tasty. We buy these often and have never had a bad one, never had a cold one and the service is always good and friendly. Well done chaps and chapesses and thank you as always! Peter...
