Working just round the corner from Brackley Bar and Grill, I'd been meaning to visit for a long while but having been off work on sick leave I'd not got round to it. Then last Thursday I saw an advert for their Steak Night - I'd seen other adverts and promotions but not being a burger fan and preferring thin crust pizza they hadn't caught my eye. So .. neither of us felt like cooking so we decided to give their steak night a try, and we'll definitely be back. The portions are reasonable for the price and all the food was well cooked. I deducted 1 star because my medium rare steak was more medium to done, but still tasty and not dry. The blue cheese sauce I had as an extra was also excellent. The drinks choice was also good - I didn't expect a lovely glass of merlot for that price, and himself wasn't expecting a pint of Grolsch. Service was quick, polite and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Went for the Sunday roast and it was delicious. Prime beef was tender, roast veggies were great, and the gravy was spot on. Felt like good portion sizes for the price and me and my date left very full and talking about how tasty it was on the way home. Service was friendly and they were able to seat us even though they were fully booked. Their outdoor seating was great on a nice sunny day.

I absolutely loved this place when it was still Brackley Bar and Grill. Unfortunately it seems that the market doesn’t really exist for a place like this in this town so they had to close the kitchen and rebrand sometime around the start of 2025. I’ll keep the 5 star review as goodwill to the new place, but unfortunately I don’t drink much these days so probably won’t be going back anymore!

Really wanted to like this. Really did. Brackley needs somewhere like this. The place looks amazing and the staff are great. Really friendly and helpful. But... The steaks came very rare when medium was requested. They were blue. I don’t mind that so I ploughed on. The steaks were OK in themselves but very chewy. That could just be poor meat rather than the cooking but the end results is the same. A table near us sent theirs back. I have had oven chips that were better than the limp mushy mound served here. You are meant to get ‘triple cooked chips.’ I know what they are like and these are not now, nor ever been, triple cooked chips. Thrice reheated maybe? The grilled tomato had been scorched on a griddle. The ‘portobello’ was a soggy mess of mushrooms on the side of a plate. Something akin to a road side caff serving breakfasts than somewhere like this. Our group had various sauces. The Stilton one could have been shown a picture of the cheese, but it certainly didn’t have any in the sauce! Drinks were Good. The atmosphere was lovely and they have done a great job making the place look sensational. I really hope they do well and succeed, but given the history of eateries at that venue, I think they will need to up their game. I would return for drinks but would think...

We visited on Saturday 11th July and had a fantastic time.

The food was sensational; absolutely delicious. We both had steaks, cooked to perfection, doughballs, wings, chips and onion rings and all of it was delicious. The desserts were fun and inventive - messy and delectable build your own smores and a sumptuous meringue and strawberries. I'm using as many different ways to describe the food as possible because it really was one of the nicest meals we've had in Northamptonshire and we would travel the 30 minutes again to eat there instead of eating closer to home.

The staff are super friendly and we felt safe with all the hygiene percautions in place.

It had a nice relaxed restaurant feel when we arrived but by the end of the night people were there to enjoy the lovely garden, great music and wicked drinks selection as more of a bar. We stayed longer after eating to enjoy the late night bar scene which we didn't expect but thoroughly enjoyed! As I said, the drinks selection is impressive and the food and drinks prices were really reasonable for the good quality they are.

We're already looking forward to returning and would...
