Rajpoot — Restaurant in England

Never have I been so disappointed when going out for a family meal, we thought we would try Rajpoot in Sherborne but was very disappointed with the tasteless food and the service we were given was shocking, we were seated next to a very loud group that you could not even hear your own conversation on the table, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful when asked for help working the bill out as wanted to pay in small groups we was given a menu, paper and a pen and told to work it out ourselves or would have to pay 20% service charge, the restaurant is very run down the window seal is all loose and nearly falling off could do with...

Unfortunately the negative reviews are true. From the get go, we were greeted with a poor attitude and service, which continued throughout our evening. The meal itself was tastless and over priced - the only redeemable part of the meal was the naan bread. We had to go up to the front desk to pay as no one bothered to bring us our bill, at which point, the owner rung up an extra charge on our bill that when questioned, they eventually withdrew. If you're looking for an uncomfortable, bland evening with a side of day light robbery, then the Rajpoot is for you. What a shame, being the only Indian restaurant in Sherborne, people...

We had to wait an inordinate amount of time for our main course to arrive (on a not so busy Monday evening) with no explanation, apology or positive gesture whatsover.

We noticed they seemed to prioritise takeaway orders over dine in customers.

The guy with the square glasses that served us was arrogant, bordering on rude actually. He even had the audacity to ask for a 10 to 15% tip when handling the bill payment! Unbelievable!
