One of the most characterful pubs I've ever been in. Character indeed that modern gastro-pubs try to emulate but fail since authenticity can't be faked. 2 to 3 smallish rooms under low ceilings and worn smooth flagstone floors that have been there for a couple of centuries at least. At £8 and £7 pounds it was such good value. The food was fresh and full of flavour. I enjoyed it so much that I am going back today for lunch before getting the train home. I will be singing its...
