The food overall was good and the woman who was waitressing other tables was really friendly and helpful. However the level of rudeness we encountered from our waiter was incredible. When we arrived, he handed us the menu without saying a word, and we didn't hear another word from him throughout the rest of the meal. After our plates were cleared, nobody brought a dessert menu or came to check if we wanted anything else until we requested the bill 30 minutes later (but our waiter did keep hanging around our table and looking at us, as if waiting for us to leave). They added a glass of wine to the bill, which we hadn't ordered and politely pointed this out. He took the bill and rectified it (again not saying anything) and didn't even muster an apology or explanation for the mix-up. I've seen another review on trip adviser mentioned similar behaviour, and I have no doubt it's the same waiter they are referring to. There are other Thai places in the area, which I'd recommend over this one, given that certain customers are clearly not...
Read moreHi guys
Ventured here, and when walked past thought it would be remiss to not venture in as the place looks so authentic.
Firstly, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We were met with nothing but smiles and politeness.
The interior is authentic and quite retro! This isn't a 'new'age minimalist or 'fusion restaurant and was all the better for it.
The menu features all the classics.
If your new to Thai irs best to acquaint yourself with the set menus which also offer alternative choices on styles and meats.
The set menu runs from around £25pp to £35pp.
We went with the £35 diamond set menu and it was a good decision.
It was all fantastic butvthe standouts for me were:
Rakhang basket ( which is a mixed starter)
Beef massam curry
All of it tasting stunningly fresh, good quality and flavoursome.
It was all eaten and there was none of that 'bloat' or greasy feeling that can sometimes accompany an oriental meal.
So all in all a great experience, well priced and I'd definitely go again if...
Read moreWanted vegan food on a trip through Bridport and fancied Thai. This place already had good reviews & we checked the website for vegan dishes. Found the short & long stay car park around the corner & walked across with no reservation or booking. They were able to accommodate 3 diners immediately, and we found the vegetables section in the menu. We ordered 3 dishes - red curry, sweet & sour vegetables, & tofu pad Thai, along with sticky rice & coconut steamed rice. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. The server checked with us whether we were veggie or vegan and also provided a delicious variety starter with tempura veg & spring rolls. They were so nice! I would definitely recommend this restaurant as the food is brilliant, the service was quick & the servers knew their dishes so as to be able to advise on...
