Red Lion — Restaurant in England

Been for Sunday dinner today, and we were very disappointed, The service was very slow and it took 50 minutes to get our dinners. And when they came they were of a poor quality, the beef wasn’t great, and the Yorkshire pudding was small and looked like a frozen one, hardly any gravy and all food was luke warm, and not worth £10.95. I appreciate they have only been doing food for a few months, we have had food during the week, and it was really nice. Looking at it you may need more chefs, because it looked like the kitchen was struggling with the amount of customers. I've been going into the Red Lion since the reopening and it's like a second home to me now. The staff are friendly, and since they started doing food it's just got better and better. I had a hot beef baguette with the amazing chunky chips on my most recent visit and it was fabulous. Tender melt in the mouth beef and thick tasty gravy was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend the food, I have had the Parmos, and burgers over time too and all have been beautifully cooked and presented. This is my go to place for food or even a fun always welcoming Saturday...

After hearing great reviews thought we would give it a try. We ordered roast beef in a bun chips and gravy. Beef was chewy couldnt eat it gravy was lumpy chips were nice to be fair.
