Rockface — Restaurant in England

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Had a good feeling about it as it looked pretty busy. Both ordered a simple baguette with fillings and was told it might be a 30 minute wait. No problem! Had a drink and was willing to take a rest after a long walk. 40 minutes later still not baguette. Staff seemed pretty clueless about what they're meant to be doing. Maybe the lad in the cap could mumble less... After asking about our food we were told we only ordered the 1 baguette and 2 cokes. My SO asked for ham and cheese but was told they had no ham, she then opted for the same as me (chorizo and pepperoni). Apparently the cashier was thinking of other things and just left the 1 order on there. Might visit again if we can be proven the place runs smoothly. If pizza is cooking then maybe do the simple bits in between? 50 minutes for a baguette was...

Fantastic gift shop - no longer a cafe I believe! The store owner was incredibly friendly and there's s wonderful selection of garden/outside decorations like statues, and decorative stakes that react with natural UV light so the edges glow slightly at dusk. Inside, there are lots of trinkets and carefully curated items from all around the globe, like green tea containers from Japan, decorative bowls, Japanese cups and saucers, colourful hangings, novelty (but functional) coat pegs ('goat' pegs, as well as sheep ones too!), a wonderful selection of precious stones, jugs (fish 'glug' jugs), and so much more! Something for everything, with a wonderful manager....

Went in with a couple of food intolerance and instead of no choices I had elsewhere the owner offered to make me a free from pizza. This was made even better by it being a whole pizza for £6! Not only this but the whole feel of the place was brilliant. Lots of high quality food options with great ingredients (I know as I got talking to the owner) this was reinforced by the chickens out the back of the seating area. The owner then very kindly offered yo take my daughter to feed the chickens. This, I am sure will prove to be a very popular spot to eat and drink and I am looking forward to...
