Really good fish & chips, excellent in fact. However I suspect that due to a lack of staff the service was not very good. Initially I waited by the sign that said ā€˜wait here to be seated’. No one appeared to allocate me a table. I approached the serving counter to ask if to just sit at a table. I was told yes, but had to ask for a menu. The table with the condiments on had dirty vinegar bottles and no cutlery. The food was delicious and delivered in a very acceptable time space. I will be returning as the quality of the meal outweighed the disappointing service.

Lovely chips, nice and well done, not anaemic like some places. Curry sauce was particularly good. Prices are as you'd expect for on the seafront, about £6 for chips with a sauce. Only downside was the person serving, who was quite rude about us queuing from the wrong side, despite having no signs up and no one else actually waiting to be served! Would go back for the food, service left a bit to be desired

Right on the front overlooking the water, it's in a great spot. Food, as is usual when on the seafront is pretty pricey: £10.25 for fish and chips, £3.50 for a cappuccino and £5 for a chip barm. So yeah it costs a bit. The fish was huge though! Freshly caught and freshly fried and it was really good. Very tasty. We enjoyed our lunch here and it's in a nice location.

Food left out un covered so goes cold instantly. Then just waste whatever is left out. And over priced as bad quality. For that amount, the food and service should of been better. On the beach front or not, the attitudes were definitely not worth that price. There’s was one cleaner when I chose the table and quickly wiped but still wasn’t ā€˜clean’. All other tables were dirty and loads of food on the floor. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but we went of fish and chips all holiday because of that! The chips were a little hard and looked like they were dog leftovers. And the mushy peas were too watery and didn’t taste of peas. I asked for small and they charged large. Ā£2.50 for bland green liquid. And 50p for one sauce that didn’t have that much in at all. And Ā£2.50 for coke ! If I’d have realised that I would of stuck with my water bottle. I thought they might have had a bad day but they just seemed careless, rude and hostile, and after two lots still being cold, they didn’t even apologise. Fish was okay but not a lot of it. We would of asked for money back but my dad had medicine to take then and there and needed something proper to take it with. And it’s not a cafe, I was up and down my seat and walking between doors getting sorted. They just left our food out twice to go cold. Hope they clean up properly, cover food up immediately trapping heat in, and have a smile on their face and be nice, as it’s a shame to ruin a great spot on...

The customer service here is terrible. A gent infront of me had returned his mushy peas as he said they were just like a sauce. He had to explain his complaint to 3 seperate people all the while no one attending to the other customers in line. It finally ended with a member of the team on the cook line literally shouting across the entire restaurant arguing with the gent about the peas....just give him his money back, apologise and take his feedback on board! So unprofessional.... I was charged £3 for a 'box of chips' this wasnt a box at all but a small polystyrene container of chips that you get for £1.50 from a cheap takeaway. I ordered a coffee at the same time, u had to pay then go to one side of the restaurant(the chip shop side that was sooook messy and untidy) to have my chips plonked infront if me..no smile, no customer service) to then walk back to the cafe part with my chips going cold waiting foe a coffee thats made by a one touch machine. When i asked the young girl behind the counter if my coffee would be much longer as i had been waiting a while, she replied with "oh yea, its been really busy you know" No apology.....just rude. Would NOT reccommend for the staff...

Just had battered sausage and chips. After having to wait for over 15 minutes for the chips to be ready I was hoping they were going to be worth the wait, no they weren't, sausage was nice though. Cappuccino was horrid tasted of watered down milk. Also while waiting for the chips to cook you get a chance to look around and the counter area was covered in salt and splashes of vinegar, the floor was also covered in sand. I know this is going to happen to somewhere that is at the beach but surely these counters should be being wiped down at regular intervals especially at this particular moment in time with covid and it doesn't take much to have someone sweeping the floor, which was also covered in wooden forks and serviettes. There was at least 3 girls standing there doing nothing while waiting for the chips to cook, wouldn't have taken much for one of them to decide that while they were waiting they could be doing these simple, covid safe tasks. We got asked to sanitize our hands when we entered and you think what's the point when you look at the counter area. Would have only given 1 star but you got 2 stars because it was a nice...
