The Lighthouse — Restaurant in England

I used to come here a lot with my grandparents when we regularly visited Filey on family holidays. After nearly 13 years, we returned to Filey and were delighted to see The Lighthouse is still alive and kicking after all this time. The lovely Irish waitress sorted us out a gluten free menu without any fuss, so we were off to a great start right away. I ordered the chicken and bacon club sandwich and it was fantastic. I didn't need to eat until late in the evening after finishing that! My partner ordered a gluten free roast beef toastie and was most impressed. Also, our cappuccinos both came with a Lighthouse decoration, which takes quite a a bit of skill. Nice touch, girls 😎👌🏼 Long live The Lighthouse in Filey. We'll be back before...

I visited here with my parents for lunch on Wednesday. I had the cheese and onion baguette and the coconut and strawberry cake, my mum had a toasted tea cake and a fruit scone with cream and homemade jam and my dad had a cheese toastie with a jelly and ice cream sundae.

It was such a busy cafe and the ladies that served us were lovely. All of the food was absolutely delicious and we would definitely recommend visiting here.

All of the cakes looked gorgeous and a couple of the tables had the afternoon tea which looked lovely.

Our only regret is not buying any of the homemade strawberry jam which my mum said was delicious on her scone. We'd definitely recommend buying...

We have visited here many times when visiting Filey and always been great. To be fair on our last visit everything was good as usual with regards to food, service etc. Unfortunately we were over charged by approximately £10 which regrettably we didn't realise until much later. £36+ for two sandwiches and a scone plus three drinks was excessive to say the least and I would have thought that they would have realised the error. I'm not suggesting it was done intentionally and I rather suspect that the waitress mixed our bill up with the one for the two ladies sat at the other window table who were...
