Royal Penrith — Restaurant in England

Only called in for one drink and watch some football when heading into the centre of Penrith so it's difficult to rate this bar. The beer (Guinness and a lager) was fine and the table service was prompt. The place itself was o.k with a handful of people watching the football being shown on the bars T.V's (they have a few T.V's so watching the sport being shown should be easy, even when the place is full). Nothing negative to say about The Royal... a "sports bar" serving decent beer with a chance to watch your...

This was the first pub stop-off on the Winter Droving and we only meant to stop for a quick pint.

However the beer prices were ridiculously cheap, the punters were very friendly and the atmosphere on the day was crackin' so we stayed for a couple of hours and had a great time.

The staff were friendly too, including one who had a fake knife stuck through his head:)

Great place bar staff non stop & very good at what they do pots of great sport on yesterday and catered for all didn't see any food so can't comment on that but a great place for a great night very busy to heaving we enjoyed it, the drinks were top line and reasonable pricing will keep this place afloat when others go by...
