Saffron Lounge — Restaurant in England

We ordered from here as a takeaway and was so looking forward to it after reading all the reviews. We ordered it through their own app and we were told a hour and half. However there was a knock at the door 25 mins later with our order and we are not around the corner! ABSOLUTELY GUTTED!!! Why did I want to try this place over the place I usually use! Well I followed the reviews! I was happy it taking time as I know that it’s partly freshly cooked! Absolutely no way have these guys cooked a starter and two mains curries in that time with onion Bahjis and rice/ chips / garlic bread etc! Food is very bland and I found inedible… I am totally intrigued how a restaurant like this Willerby can cook food and deliver so quickly in a blink of the eye! After all good food comes to those who wait! We have had our order and supposedly on their app, half hour later, they are still cooking it 🤦‍♀️ think it’s Microwaved as the chicken is too chunky to cook and deliver that quickly! Defo NOT fresh. It really was not nice and just gutted we wasted our money on here! Totally wish I stuck to what and where I know! Will not entertain this place again...

Brilliant food, great table service excellent value. Only one gripe which is the lack of any hygiene facilities in the gents toilets. Absolutely no soap and not a case of it just having ran out either. The only item provided which resembled soap was an old looking bottle of alcohol gel which isn’t really adequate. The hand drier didn’t work either. The budget for the newly decorated restaurant area obviously didn’t stretch to the toilets which is a shame. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed the lack of washing facilities in the toilets, it’s a shame this area has been ignored completely. My pal and I will be back again in about a months time for our next curry, I may bring a bottle hand soap with me 😳😊🤣🤷‍♂️😎

Other than that keep up the good work and address the soap issue...

This is a very nice Indian restaurant, with some really good meal options and a great value weekday menu. Service is always quick and friendly, and the restaurant is a nice, clean atmosphere.

The only drawback is that it isn't a huge space and it's quite full of tables. It doesn't feel cramped or crowded, but it can get very noisy. The two times I have visited, there have been some extremely loud fellow diners which makes it really hard to have a conversation across the table. It's better earlier in the evening, when it's still relatively quiet.

This wouldn't put me off returning though. The food and value...
