Scoozi — Restaurant in England

I ordered the lobster, crab and prawn RAVIOLI. It turned up as linguine. (I tend to order ravioli/fusilli instead of spaghetti/linguine when wearing white, as I was this night!)

No apology, warning or even comment from the staff. Or even a mention of it when I ordered it and the order reached the Kitchen.

As if they expected anyone eating in an Italian in 2014 wouldn't know one from another!?!

There were about 8 chunks of fish - not a great quantity to represent three different shell-fish, and certainly not when compared to a ravioli dish where I assume EVERY pasta parcel would have contained fish!. Cutback attempts? for a dish almost costing me £13?

Those fishy chunks there were rubbery - so I couldn't completely discern which I was even eating. I didn't call staff over to it, only to spare the embarrassment of our friends hosting - who had raved about this restaurant.

Ironically, one of them ordered the butternut risotto. That was so garlicky she couldn't finish it. The staff clearing her plate didn't even ask 'was everything okay?' as they picked up an almost untouched dish.

Despite their lack of customer care, staff were at least skin-deep friendly. There was atmosphere, although it got quite draughty and cold quickly every time the door opened.

Overall: not impressed enough to ever...

Personally my experience was excellent (5 ⭐️) I had emailed ahead of time to ask if it was possible to cater for my intolerances due to MCAS & Histamine intolerance! Having this makes it very hard to ever eat out, so I just don’t, but them miss out on socials. Because the food is fresh and everything made from scratch it was possible. The chef read through the info I sent and came up with some delicious suggestions. I am grateful to the whole team for their efforts and have a fabulous meal! So thank you! I came with a party of 11, it did take a while to get our food but appreciate they were busy and there was an error with the bill even after their 3rd calculation, we paid a prior deposit and the menu sent out a few days before had old prices, they did offer to give a 10% discount but the bill ended up being more for some reason..this was all taking a long time and it was getting late, we ended up just splitting it anyway as easier rather than paying ours separately despite not everyone having same foods, drinks ) We all highly rate the food and service, just the calculation of the bill brought the...

Had a lovely experience here yesterday with my family. 6 of us total. We called to check the closing times as it was a bank holiday and we needed to check if it were going to close like normal between lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, they were but when I spoke to Linda on the phone (who was lovely) she assured us she could squeeze us in as long as we got there within a reasonable time! Thank goodness she did! Wonderful food, we all got something different and we were all extremely pleased. The pizza and calzone looked delicious! (No GF option for pizza/ calzone unfortunately but still looked amazing) The chicken and mash dish (the name for it has escaped me unfortunately) was absolutely devine! Would definitely recommend. My wife also loved the fish linguine (GF options available for all pasta dishes thankfully). Really great experience from our server Amanda also. She was very knowledgeable and helpful.
