See a lot of stuff on social media about hidden gems and the like....always thought it a little disingenuous. However 😁. Clevedon is a little out of the way....but one should really make the effort if only to see the pier and visit the amazing Murray's. Been doing wood burning stove Italian food long before food influencers were ever a thing. Go for the pizza but stay for the Italian main courses and pasta. Make sure to also grab some of the delicious stuff you just had to eat from the deli next door. the staff are friendly and helpful and it also boasts a great wine list. Enjoy!

Visited March 23'. Loving relaxed dining experience with friends. Murrays is a small restaurant so worth booking, but you may be lucky for a walk in. The dishes are thoughtfully put together with amazing seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. We had a lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed all of our dishes. My wife is a Coeliac and they were very aware of what adaptations and cross contamination risks, so she ate with confidence. Thanks Murrays - we'll be back soon x

Amazing food, proper Italian food, the kind you actually get in Italy. Not just anglicised Italian food like spaghetti bolognaise but real, freshly made pasta and other Italian greats. Yes they do pizza but they do so much more. I particularly enjoyed the small dishes, similar to tapas. What a breath of fresh air. It’s all served in a lovely setting with lovely, friendly staff. We really enjoyed our first first. Thank you.

Deli with a good sized restaurant attached , trying to be high end in the neighbourhood(based on the decor and presentation of food). Sadly the experience we had did not match the hypes and recommendations.

We popped in for lunch on a Saturday, the restaurant was busy. After we were seated and had ordered drinks, the waitress told us we had to wait to order food as the kitchen was busy. This was absurd as the restaurant was not even full. Later on we overheard the waitress telling other customers that one chef was down. Without any explanation to us we waited patiently for around 20 minutes before finally being able to order food.

Food turned out not really worth the wait. We had ordered the crayfish and mushroom for starters. The crayfish was covered in way too much ‘tomato mayonnaise’, the odd addition of grapefruit and mini pickles did not compliment the taste at all. The mains were even more disappointing. The pasta cooked too soft and the sauces too thin.

What disturbed us the most was the attitudes of the waitresses. In order to appear busy they all dashed around the restaurant to deliver (hot) food. At a time my son (1 year old) was playing on the floor next to us and one waitress hopped over him with hot plates in hand, without saying a word to us, never mind any apologies. This has left me in shock. I’ve dined in busy michellin restaurants and waiters never RAN to tables. In tighter spaced local eateries people tend have the decency to say ‘excuse me’ or take another route. I have no idea what this restaurant is trying to get at.

This is of course not the first time I’ve had bad food in a restaurant but I’ve definitely never felt so angry. It’s the (lack of) service that made me give this place a one star. I would have given it zero if google...

It is some time since I last ate at Murray's but I have a good experience of both their deli and the cafe/restaurant. I came here with my wife for lunch on a tuesday. Wendy had an Aubergine dish and I had a Con Gamberi 12" pizza, - both were excellent. They were washed down with a great Sicilian house red and the sweets were fabulous too. The whole experience was good, staff, ambience, temperature. I wish I hadn't forgotten my camera because the presentation of the food was very good too. Great value for money as well. The only downside is nothing to do with Murray's, the car parking on and near Hill Road is restricted to 2 hours - that is if you can find a space. Book a table and get...

We recently purchased two lovely hampers, full of goodies, for Father's Day and they were amazing and such good value for money. Chloe was so considerate and thoughtful too with my father's hamper; as I mentioned he suffers badly with crohn's disease. Since then we have had food delivered, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and more recently a fish & chip supper ... both absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed in our garden with a lovely bottle of Prosecco ... and it was definitely restaurant standard food ... Well done to Murrays and thank you, especially, to Chloe who always makes us feel 'special' and valued local...
