The reason I decided to give this restaurant 3 stars is entirely because of the customer service, and not related to the food.

The food is fabulous. We opted for the set meal for 4, and the starts, sides and kebabs were perfectly cooked, and delicious. The prices are reasonable, considering the quality of the food (around £20 per head for a starter, main and drink).

I'll preface my comments on the customer service by acknowledging that I am a fussy customer, which is partly because I worked as a waiter for a few years when I was younger, meaning I have high standards.

When I called the book, the person at the end of the phone was moderately friendly and helpful, with a hint of "you're taking up my time when I could be doing something better".

The service at the restaurant was quite similar. Granted, we were served quickly, but there were very little warmth or friendliness. When we attempted to speak to the waiter at a couple of points, the responses were pretty muted and unenthusiastic. I just left with the feeling that the staff were preoccupied with spending time with regulars/people they know, and that other diners were a minor inconvenience.

I'm unsure as to whether I would eat here again. Like I say, the food is excellent, but the service is so underwhelming that it detracts from the former.
