Shanz Grill — Restaurant in England

The art of Peri Peri can be a difficult one to master. Food is often left bland, under or over cooked, and food is often cold and disappointing....but NOT at Shanz Grill!

I ordered the platter meal with 12 HOT chicken wings, 2 regular sides (Peri Peri fries) and a drink.

When opening the foil lined bag, the steam and heat given off took me back it was RED HOT! I have never had a single delivery where food is this bloody hot!!! The grilled chicken was beautifully cooked. The seasoning was spot on, and the chilli coating left the mouth and tongue burning for more. A true pleasure to eat. Delicious taste!

The Peri Peri fries were smothered in Peri Peri coating, leaving them orange all over. They were all coated top to bottom, giving a truly delicious flavoursome experience! They were not crunchy, but floppy (which I personally love by the way!) So they ticked all the boxes. They came in paper bags within the brown heavy duty paper bag, piping hot with no grease at all. Spot on fries fried to perfection.

Just to try thrown Shanz off, I ordered 3 further HOT sauce dips and 2 Peri Peri mayos (many places forget extra sauces or mix them up). All were delivered as ordered, nice and hot as well to complement the food. No cold sauces with hot chips and chicken which take outs rarely get right.

Overall, this is 5 stars. Red hot food, delicious fries and chicken wings to die for. I will absolutely be going back time and time again.

I have been disappointed with Peri Peri many times across various parts of the UK, but Shanz Grill trump's all. I would happily go as far as saying the meal I had rates as the number 1 Peri Peri grill in the south west, even comparable to others across the UK. Well done indeed!

Holy mother of god this is the worst experience I have ever had in a fast food restaurant which I am very regular to been using them for over a year.

Must have some new staff because I ordered food online and took over 2 hours to come missing items off my order no salad on my burger no sauce when I ordered specifically called them up to make sure they added it and they said yes.

Then when I called they said it will be with you within 5 mins (1 hour ) later then I looked online the website said they had closed so called them again no answer.

I drove there and all I get it will be there now, I said you not going to give me some sort of apology or money back but no all anger and snarky comments to be honest I have never been so...

Shanz Grill, now known as Shaamz Peri Peri, makes the best peri peri chicken – it’s absolutely addictive and our go-to for takeaway! Once you try it, I guarantee you won’t be able to stop. The chicken is always tender, juicy, and falls apart effortlessly. Honestly, it’s so good that I often wonder why other restaurants can’t replicate their level of flavour and texture.

Our favorite dishes are the wing platter in both the hot and lemon & herb flavors – we couldn’t decide between the two, so we had to get both! We also ordered a whole chicken, which was just as amazing. This time, we tried the half-pounder burger too, and it was impressively tasty.
