I’m not a frequent visitor to this warm and friendly establishment. I’m from far across the water, but it does make a great excuse to go boating in the colder (and wetter) weather. The most perfect comfort breakfast with all the major food groups represented: tea, black pudding, eggs and sausage to name but a few. The Bonanza Breakfast - heartily recommended. The world rushes around with lattes held outstretched in front of them like a 21st century shield warding off the dangerous phone holders. Step into Eegon’s and you are removed from that world in an instant. It is relaxing, warm of welcome and just a lovely place to be. Perhaps I should keep that to myself? No, it needs to be frequented and appreciated for what it is. Try it, you will most certainly love it.

I liked breakfast, eggs were fantastic, sausage could be better. Nice little Caffe which could be nicer if it would have some music to make some atmosphere. I felt a bit weird and not comfortable to speak in such a quiet place, like intruder in someone's house. Staff and locals were chatting and we could hear every single word. We left very quickly, says enough I didn't even use restroom, me! :)

Came due to the good google reviews. Greasy spoon style cafe above a social club. I didn’t think ingredients were of particularly high quality, maybe frozen. Very greasy/oily feel overall. Service was good, friendly and quick. Felt there were better places to have breakfast in cowes.

I love Eegons Café with a passion, it's not a fine dining experience, but the atmosphere and people who run it are a delight. We are always made to feel welcome, breakfast is delicious and is served right through until 13:00pm.

The best way I can describe Eegons, is going round your parents for a traditional English breakfast. They treat you like family, happy to have a laugh with you and don't judge you for ordering a vege breakfast with bacon in your comfy clothes (It had been a day).

Breakfast price also includes a hot drink or cold drink of choice (tea, coffee, orange juice, apple juice) and really drives the value for your money.

They have food challenges available such as 5 of everything and a leader board of who has managed it.

Breakfast is not all, as they provide lunch options, pancakes, sandwiches, lasagna, mac and cheese, burgers, cheesy chips and more.

All in all, if want breakfast, or brunch or lunch, there's not another place...

Back on the island from Australia to see family and in desperate need of a good old English breakfast. We knew we were in the right place when we were greeted by a cheerful hello and the sight of happy blokes tucking in to plates full of steaming hot, unpretentious food.

Hubby, I and 14 year old daughter all devoured our autumn special for 9 quid….egg, bacon, snags, beans, hash brown, toast and fried bread…washed down with a good coffee (apple juice for her).

Don’t expect frills or smashed avo on toast, just friendly prompt service, simple honest food and great value for money…river glimpses out the window a bonus.

Meant to take a photo but we were too...
