Sizzler Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in England

After using this restaurant multiple times before we knew the food was usually very good.

So tonight (14th Feb) we ordered early knowing it would be busy for valentine’s. We used the sizzler website at 6:27 to order online. The website makes you wait to see if the order is accepted and then gives you a time of delivery. Which was 19:25.

However after an hour and a half I rang up and got told they’re very busy but my food will be with me in 15 minutes. Yet he never even asked what my order was or who it was for. So obviously fobbed me off.

Tried ringing after 2 hours and they had obviously taken the phone off the hook as 10 calls went straight to dead tone.

At 9:00, 2.5hrs after ordering the food turned up. We had gone past being hungry at that point and it was too late to eat so we turned it away.

With them not answering the phone, I had no choice but to drive to the restaurant and get my refund, as I had zero trust in actually getting this money back. The restaurant was half empty, so they had obviously waited till their main rush had finished before thinking about 2.5hr old delivery orders. They tried to blame the driver, but unless he was going via Nottingham, then I highly doubt it was hit fault.

Just another money grabbing restaurant that doesn’t have the decency to tell customers the truth. Either reject orders you can’t handle or put a truthful timeframe online. Don’t just take people’s money and hope for the best. Thanks for ruining the night for us. Will not be...

I had the absolute misfortune of dining at Sizzler recently, and it was nothing short of a disaster from start to finish.

First off, we had a reservation for 9 PM, but apparently, that meant nothing to the staff. Despite our booking, we were forced to wait for 20 minutes while they let in walk-ins ahead of us just because they were a bigger group. What is the point of a reservation if they don't honor it?

Once we finally got seated, the experience only got worse. The restaurant was filled with rowdy football fans who were chanting and shouting the entire time. It was unbelievably loud and obnoxious. I understand people want to enjoy their evening, but this was a restaurant, not a sports bar. The staff made no effort to control the situation or ask them to tone it down.

Overall, the atmosphere was unbearable, and the service was a joke. I expected a pleasant dining experience, but instead, I got chaos and noise. I will not be returning, and I recommend others stay far away from this place if they want to enjoy their...
