Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and my Takeaway. Staff very friendly and informative. A very busy place for eating in and for Takeaways which is always a good sign. 5 Star Rating for hygiene. Food - a good selection, I'm a vegetarian and there was plenty for me, as well as Carnivores. They also do Vegan. Menu Flexibility - one of the regular customers waiting near me said they adjusted his meals so there was less fat. I found mine was not swimming in fat. Taste test - passed with flying colours. Waiting time - a long wait, but they were working through a lot of customers in the main Restaurant, telephone and people coming in for Takeaway Orders. I felt they dealt with people fairly and in good order. My Takeaway was checked to ensure I had everything before I left. Access - 1 steep step in, toilets on the same level, but door and turning for wheelchair users not too good. Car parking - car park across the road and nearby on street parking. There are a few unofficial places on the pavement in front of the shop for those collecting. Refurbishment - they are going to refurbish the whole place sometime this year. My order: Veg Byriani, Bhindi (Okra, beautifully cooked), Stuffed Peshwari Naan (would have liked a little more stuffing) and Onion Raita. I will certainly go again.

Had a takeaway from here tonight which was absolutely delicious. Full of flavour, hot, made very quickly and was ready when they said it would be to collect. Accept card payments which is a plus. Some of the best onion bhajias I've ever tasted! Price was fairly reasonable for the amount I got also.

Great food, although a little slow. My wife asked for water with her meal, which seemed to be frowned upon by one particular waiter, who brought a glass of tepid tap water from the kitchen. No embellishments, ie Ice, lemon ? Not a great start for a first visit.🤔

If I could give less than a one star i really would . I booked a table for 7.30 we eventually got shown to the table at 8.15 ….. after that we never got served until 9.10 and only had our starters absolutely shambolic , no apologies , no service ,no nothing !!! 9.20 still no main meal , DO NOT ATTEMPT TO VISIT HERE ,VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED ! No idea how to run a Restaurant , never came over once to apologise for any delay . Pls if anyone reads reviews and they really should then read this !! DO NOT GO HERE !!! To add this was our first and last visit to Sonali Spice ! Very disappointing it appears that take always take preferential treatment so much so that no lamb was on the menu ?!?! Crazy it’s like going in a hairdressers wanting a cut and blow dry and the hairdresser has no shampoo !!! Thank you to the take away opposite !! It saved the day . One word Shambolic !...

Disappointing and doubtful we would return. No social distancing whatsoever, tables are all right next to each other and no booths. The waiters did not wear masks or visors. One leant right over me several times throughout.

Waited 45 mins for our food. Very strange tasteless chicken pakora which resembled flat chicken nuggets in breadcrumbs. Our chicken and lamb dishes were uninspiring and have had nicer from Tesco. Our Cobra beer and coke were both flat and the coke came warm so had to ask for ice. A tiny amount was added.

The decor is very nice but the staff were lackadaisical and slow. We were in and out in an hour as we just didnt enjoy it. We dont understand as it has so many...
