Clean and quiet an ideal place to sit after walking around the shops there's plenty of wooden.seats.for people to rest up and all the benches have a brass plate in memory of there loved ones around the large tree's there's a small patch of flowers which are looked after by professional gardener's on a warm sunny day it's a beautiful place to be, well worth a visit Sunday the 10th of Nov brought the remembrance service to hornsea which was well attended as like previous years it was pleasing to see the younger element getting involved The tree's and benches around the gardens were dressed up in poppy's as it was a glorious day we found a seat in the shade and had a cold drink before setting off back to the caravan I couldn't resist taking another couple of Photo's on our way back we decided to walk through memorial Gardens there we noticed 2 new metal seats which were designed for the those who were killed in both war's being a glorious day we went into memorial Gardens family's where sat on rugs having a picnic enjoying the lovely sunny weather birds came down with in distance hoping for any bread crumbs black birds could be heard in the back ground

Long, narrow gardens with lots of benches and trees for shade on a hot day. Well maintained and tidy. Has two lion statues at one end and the Lions bandstand at the other. Has a substantial memorial in the centre for those killed in WW1 and WW2, and as with so many war dead, taken before his time, a youngster of 20 killed in the war in Afghanistan.... none of you are forgotten. Rest in peace.

I appreciate the area for parking and tranquility, local to a lot of excellent amenities inc Cloud Nine my favourite restaurant, ERL Hornsea and the beach/sea. I admire some of the old school town houses nearby, reminds me of Beverley Westwood for half the price. And most importantly the cleanliness and quality of the world war memorial is a thing of beauty, respect and thankfulness for those who sacrificed...
