Southern Fried Chicken — Restaurant in England

Please firstly avoid this place. IT IS OVERPRICED AND FOOD IS HORRIBLE, YOU WILL BE SICK AFTER EATING IT!!!

The food was absolutely horrible, to a point where the “Classic Spicy Burger” was so dry, the fillet was also so hard to bite into, it even looked like a burnt chicken foot, there was hardly any taste to it. They never asked us if we wanted salad or any sauce in it, they had put just lettuce in and bit of mayo. It looked and tasted horrible.

We also sadly got the “Grilled Peri Peri” let me tell you this that the chicken inside was raw, it was so undercooked that just after a few bites we felt sick and had stomach aches, had to throw most of the food away. They also never asked about what we wanted in the wrap and again they only put in lettuce and mayo. The wrap wasn’t even wrapped properly!! They have no idea of how to cook or run a takeaway.

I’ve never had a takeaway this tasteless and disgusting in my life!!

In regards to the service had to tell the cashier repeatedly what I wanted and when I asked him questions he was clueless, not sure if it is because he had airbuds in or just did not care about...

We normally order online via Just Eat and the food always arrives quickly and piping hot from Charmister to Branksome. Today, we happened to be in the area so we went to eat in and the quality of the food was identical to home delivery - a testament to the speed at which it is always delivered!

Friendly service and extra brownie points for giving us hot wings to try after we asked about the level of heat. We ordered hot wings and rice box (pics), have previously also tried the six fillet meal and I'll confess, I'd eat here over KFC any day. The heat of the wings was good for me (as someone who enjoys spicy food but who has a fairly low tolerance for heat) and the batter was well-seasoned.

Everything is cooked well - crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I was also offered extra sauce without asking. Nice, clean seating area. The only downsides were the lack of toilets and parking - we had to park on a side street around the block. Well worth the visit...

Chicken wings are a solid 10/10 and love the chilly sauce! more importantly. The staff are amazing! I'm from London but whenever I go portsmouth to visit relative I travel all the way to Bournemouth just to eat there. Everytime I've been there I've met different stiffeners and everytime they have given the best service. I've met the owner couple of times and he's such a happy friendly person.

My sister wasn't finishing her burger and he joyfully came and told her if she finishes her food he will give her a free mixed slushy which obviously got her excited but she was still under to finish her food because she was full but he still ensured to give her a slushy. Infact the staff member chased after us out the shop just to give us the slush because we had left not realising the owner had ordered a slush for us.
