Sukhothai — Restaurant in England

Ordered a chicken thai green curry and beef jungle curry, which was quite a struggle as the man on the end of the phone was rude and utterly incompetent. Both currys were disgustingly watery, devoid of any flavour or spice and the beef tasted like cardboard. The portion of rice we received was pathetic also. The only positives were the prawn crackers and a delivery time better than what was quoted. Whilst living in Bournemouth I have had some truly terrible takeaways, but this was by far the worst. Probably my first 1star ever given. Big joke- payed over 10£ for couple of prawns served with sauce in sos pot(like two spoons of sweet chilli sauce) doesn't come with rice so had to order one for over 4£- warm kids portion. Prawn crackers also over 4£- for prawn crackers?! Old prawn crackers btw. Older man on the till took 20£ note and gave him self a tip as total was over 18£ and I didn't receive any change (if the food was good-more than welcome to take a tip mate, but when I opened it at home I felt like punched in the face). Just had a lovely meal tonight. The food and service was great. We have been to Thailand before, many times and asked for our food to be spicy. The owner asked if we had been to Thailand before and when we said that we had, we talked about where we had been before. The food came out spicy and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want a classic Thai dish. Good choices on the menu too. It was difficult for us to choose. We will certainly be going back.
