Overview: Coffee and brunch place in Amersham serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee and pastries/cakes with a beautiful, well-lit interior. Prosāœ…: We went for brunch and there was a great variety of choices on the menu. We went for the italian brunch sandwich with fried egg, 2 sausage patties, potato rosti and nduja mayo (Ā£9) which was really good value and delicious, highly recommend this. We also ordered the avocado toast (Ā£9) and added beetroot cured salmon (Ā£3) which was again really good and it was a good portion size. The coffee (oat flat white) was also great. Servers were lovely and put out great service. ConsāŒ: Can’t really fault this place at all !! Recommended dishes: šŸ”Italian brunch sandwich šŸ„‘Avocado toast, Green gyal ā˜•ļøOat flat white

A modern, informal, bright space that offers an eclectic breakfast and lunch menu with ingredients and flavours from both home and away. There's exotic/unusual ingredients for people bored of the usual British fayre, but also dishes that will please more conservative palates. The atmosphere is relaxed with popular music playing (not too loudly) in the background. Food and drinks must be ordered at the counter, and you may have to ask to see a printed menu, because there isn't one visible on any walls or on tables. You may also need share a table, due to a couple of tables being very long and flanked with long benches. The food though is tasty (bread could be a tiny bit fresher), reasonably priced, and coffee is good! Well worth a visit.

Food is artisanal in style, most of which come on or with an absolutely gorgeous flatbread. Prices are about Ā£7–9 for a main meal. I expected something sandwich sized and was instead served a very hearty large meal, with chicken covering the large slab of flatbread in a freshly made sauce. Dhal was reported to be delicious and filling. Vegan options are available. On a slow afternoon just after an average lunch time, food took about 10 mins for two mains. Coffee was smooth, a very well chosen and roasted bean. Espresso came with a delightful dark crema. Would definitely recommend this cafe for coffee lovers, though some might prefer a darker roast. Staff are lovely and happy to help.

I have been to Sycamore many times now since their opening. And to begin with I could forgive the slight unorganized feeling because the coffee was fantastic (and still is amazing, the best place to get coffee on the high street in my opinion), the food was simple and delicious and reasonably priced for Amersham and they were new. However, every time I have been back the feeling of disorganisation has yet to be remedied, the prices have increased and the quantity of food has decreased (which is fine there is still plenty to leave you feeling satisfied) but there has always been some sort of restriction. On multiple occasions they haven't had in stock the item I wanted to order, or they've run out of bacon (which is crazy) or I wasn't allowed to have fried eggs because they were only able to do poached eggs (still not clear on that one). The wait for food has become much longer as well and today I found myself having finished my coffee a full 20 minutes before my food appeared and not even hot. It was still a nice meal but it wasn't quite to the standard I would have liked. The cakes are amazing though, and there's always a great selection, and the staff are always very nice and super apologetic and accomodating (where they can be) and I cannot fault them at all. I just think a little more organisation, more thought (and maybe extra staff in the kitchen?) would...

First of all the 2 guys serving are super friendly ( I do hope it's just a holiday job for them) smart decor, not much of a vibe tho, some chill out music would of been nice ... When ordering 2 lattes I asked about the milk alternatives (as this not advertised ) and it seems they had a good selection so why not advertise it?

The cake display is a really strange there were no prices anywhere and I only realized some of the cakes were vegan due to reading the allergies then question it, Apparently they dont like to advertise it. I find that really odd, maybe they've had some particular customers in the past that had made a fuss about it saying vegan? Who knows . Myself personally I absolutely love it when I see the little vg or pb in the corner of the cake card or on a menu I don't have to question it and feel uncomfortable like I'm making a fuss I can order normally. Last of all they don't show the prices on the tablet just the total on the card machine so I still have no idea how much the cakes were. And when looking on the menu there wasn't anything vegan /plantbased or maybe there was and I just had to decode it The concept is very strange. And I so wanted to love...
